Boruto's POV
I didn't feel good. I've been brainstorming all day what that eerie feeling I had suddenly caught is, and I can't place it for certain the reason why it feels so, but I've been sticking close to Lucy. Whatever it is I'm feeling, the more I attempt to connect with the bad energy and sense where or who it's from, I just find myself subconsciously closer to the Celestial girl. It's not too close, of course, but she's right there.
Mitsuki sensed both my confusion and worry and the odd energy I felt. Usually with Inojin here, he'd sense this too but I've come to terms that I'd always been on a different level and Mitsuki will always be on par with me so it wasn't surprising when Mitsuki came closer and rested his arm on my shoulder, speaking in a low tone near my ear so only I can hear. We kept our eyes in front, at where Lucy is.
"Do you feel that?" The snake-like boy asked, to which I nodded subtly with a quiet "hn." Sara's really been rubbing off on me, ughhh.
Mitsuki, "That's magic. Definitely from Erza-san's world."
My eyelids lift slightly, as realization hits. This strange energy is magic, and although I've experienced how Sara and Fairy Tail's magic feels, this one is different. If it's dark magic like that, no wonder I didn't know what it was.
Mitsuki's light breath tickles my ear as he speaks again, bringing me back from inside my head. "Since Sarada's interacted with all different types of magic in Fairy Tail, and kept Tsuki with her at all times, which, by the way, it's a sensory snake, I have felt magic energy of different types too."
Ah, that makes sense. Besides Sara, Mitsuki has (via Tsuki) been in Fairy Tail's world in a way. What's that thing they said? Thank Mavis! Yes, thank Mavis for Mitsuki (and Tsuki).
"Just so you know, Jellal-san, Lucy, and Gray were the first to sense it. Then Erza-san and Natsu. They've all interacted with strong dark magic before, face first. Juvia, Wendy-chan and the cats won't notice just yet. We weren't too far from noticing, too. Those guys are just experienced with ptsd."
A snort came from my throat. How Mitsuki and Sara can bring up bits of humor now, it's been cracking me up. Still, he's right. Those fairies are strong, so no wonder.
I leaned my head a little to Mitsuki, finally bringing my eyes to him. "Then maybe Sara has sensed the magic, too?"
Gold orbs also moved from straight ahead, now met with mine. "Definitely. Usually, Inojin would as well, considering his sensory skill, but he hasn't really grasped the feeling of magic much like me, and you're a different situation."
At that moment, Natsu, who was walking next to Lucy in front of them, turned towards them mouthing, "He knows."
Took a very fat minute to remember he has dragon hearing and can hear us. So he can also hear everyone else with them, Inojin included, who must've sensed the magic and let Shikadai know. I must admit, being with my friends now when they've improved just as much as me is still getting to me.
Mitsuki and I look back at each other again, voices still low. There's still completely normal people here who know nothing, so it's better to stay like this. With the exception of Dad and the others.
Mitsuki, "Well, I suppose Wendy-chan isn't to be underestimated as much as Inojin. I keep forgetting how powerful they can be sometimes. That's my fault."
"No, that's alright, I'm the same. We're just...kinda dorks."
Mitsuki let out a low chuckle.
"Kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss-"
What the..."SARA?!" I seriously cannot believe this girl. Mitsuki and I moved to let her come between us as she linked her arms with ours.
She played innocence while complaining like a child, slumping her shoulders. "Aww, I was so close to letting it happen and everything. Why haven't they kissed yet?"
