Felix's POV
Waking up in the morning, I feel groggy and disoriented. Covered in Hyunjin's scent, I feel like he slept next to me. Automatically, I pat the space next to me, only to find it cold and empty...like the feeling in my heart.
Sitting up, I notice the nest Jisung made for me last night when I felt like I'm sinking, I'm drowning. I sigh dragging my ass out of bed and to the bathroom.
Even after talking a shower, I still feel like shit. Didn't help I threw up either...So the next best thing I do is cover myself more in Hyunjin's scent by wearing his clothes; black t-shirt, grey hoodie, black sweatpants, socks and beanie (head sock).
Mum's in the kitchen when I get downstairs. *"G'morning sunshine!"* She cheerfully greets me and I just grumble in return. "안녕 {annyeong.}" morning voice coming out deeper. My voice deeper than most omegas. Heck even most alphas. People say it doesn't match my face but whatever. I like it.
"You feeling better now?" I just hum, heading for the den. "Breakfast's ready."
"Not hungry." I call out flopping on the couch reaching for the remote. A second later she appears in the doorway. "Not hungry?" Both her hands on her hips. "You barely ate last night. You cannot not be hungry. Come on you need eat."
"I don't have an appetite eomma." She narrows her eyes. "Is something bothering you?" She asks tilting her head.
Mmm, I don't know. How about the fact that I need my mate!
For a moment I debate with myself whether I should tell her the truth or not. Fuck it. I won't find a better chance than this. So I decide to tell her. "Yes actually. There is something bothering me." She nods, coming into the room. When she's close enough, she sniffs the air around me. "Who's scent is on you? You reek of it."
"My mate's scent." I reply looking at the TV. "Your mate? Changbin doesn't smell like...." She stops mid sentence, eyes widening when she realizes what I meant. "The vampire?" She gasps whispering then hurriedly coming to sit next to me. "Felix explain yourself."
"Y-yes..." I stutter. "it's the vampire. Hyunjin. His name's Hwang Hyunjin." That how I end up telling her everything. Well not everything. Just the important parts everything.
"So that's that. Me and Changbin are not together anymore. We're done." Though out the whole thing, mum's been silent. Just nodding and humming, indicating that she's been listening. "I'm sorry. I should have...said something earlier." I let out a breath of frustration and pull at my bangs peaking out of the beanie.
"Mum say something." I drop my head into my hands when she stays quiet. Tears fill my eyes but I hold them back. I feel her hands circle around me in a hug. I finally let them fall and cry on her shoulder. "Shh. It's okay Lixie. Don't cry." She hugs me tighter. "I just wish you'd told me sooner." I sob harder. "I'm sorry." She continues to rub my back until I'm calm enough.
"I know things may not look good right now but it'll get better." She wipes my tears. "He's your fated. You would have found each other one way or the other. Nothing in the world would have stopped it. I just wish it would have been in better circumstances."
"What do you think appa will do when he finds out?" I ask curiosity.
She sighs. "I honestly don't know."
"I miss him." I say looking down at my hands.
"He must be a wonderful person if you miss him." She gives me a knowing smile and I blush. "Wonderful? Try hotheaded."
"I have no doubt you'll get him in line."
"Thanks mum." I give her another hug. "No need. I'm your mum, it's my duty. And I'll do whatever to make you happy." She stands up. "Now come on. Have breakfast with me." She holds her hand out to me.
