Light up the Sky

Sin blotted out our light,

wronging what was right.

It trampled our flame,

always trying to blame.

Everyday we try,

we strive to fly.

Sin tears us down,

our good to drown.

It deceives our hearts,

makes us play the wrong parts.

But for us Jesus died,

so that with His Gospel,

We can defeat sin,

and light up the sky.
