"What do you want from him?" Shikadai asks protectively.
Kura Hitomi simply puts on a face of innocence, "No need to get so defensive sheesh. I wanted to know if Uzumaki-kun would like to join in my project!"
"Project?" Inojin raises a brow.
"Yes! My project! I plan to create a medicine using Uzumaki-kun's Ostusuki DNA, I promise it's for a good cause!" He smiles...in a fake way.
Jellal decides to take things in his hands. "Was it worth bringing terror to innocent lives and messing with us?"
Kura Hitomi turns to face him, "My, what do you ever mean?"
Jellal, "The enemies we've faced so far, they were all sent by you. Weren't they?"
Kura Hitomi showed a fake smile his way, "Ah, them? They failed their jobs. They're not worth mentioning."
So he doesn't even regard the people he sent out equally. It's sickening.
"Well then, Uzumaki-kun, will you come with me?" Kura Hitomi asks, facing Boruto.
Jellal swallows. Boruto has an unfazed demeanor and no light in his eyes. This can end either very badly or very bloody. Jellal doesn't want to know.
Boruto, "I refuse."
A sigh. "Uzumaki-kun, what will it take for you to come with me and contribute to my project?"
"Nothing. I just don't wanna go with you."
"Hmm. Too bad. A shame, really. Would've achieved so much with this medicine."
The next words Boruto says left Jellal cold. "The same medicine you're using on all the dead people who've passed on in Oakridge Town?"
Kura Hitomi had also seemed to freeze. The blonde continued despite everyone in a daze. "I want no part in such a project. You don't even know about the Otsusuki Clan as well as I do– better yet, as familiar as Mr. Sasuke is with them. You don't know what you're asking for, nor who you're dealing with right now."
Boruto slowly walks up to Kura Hitomi, who's now frozen on the spot but still trying to put up the facade of a man in control. That's when Jellal sees the teen's right eye– grey and icy blue in colour.
He has a visual jutsu. Just like Sarada, Hinata-san, and Himawari. Gasps were heard from all the other teens except Mitsuki– who now finally makes a slight change in facial expressions– so Jellal assumes they're seeing this for the first time. Boruto must've hid his visual jutsu all this time.
A blue sphere forms in his palm as he nears. He's now at a close proximity with Kura Hitomi.
"Do you think you can defeat me? You'll be unable to return to the rest of your friends whether you kill me or not." Kura Hitomi tries again to gain the upper hand. That doesn't work out as Boruto smiles and tilts his head, ever so sweetly. That made Kura Hitomi visibly shiver.
Honestly, Jellal has forgotten to breathe for a moment because what?! He sees Sarada cover her mouth, Shikadai's eyes just bulged out, Cho-Cho turning away slightly while seemingly processing, Inojin's jaw slacked open, and Mitsuki....grinning?!?!
"Mitsuki?" Jellal calls. The others turn to the boy. Now surprised at his face.
Mitsuki's silhouette glows green, almost turquoise and emerald. "I've been waiting to see him show it off since we were kids."
Shikadai quickly calls Jellal to his side, "Get back and out their way. That's Mitsuki's Sage Mode. If he knows about Boruto's eye, we should have no problem. But they're gonna go all out, let's move!" Team 10 scurries away.
