It was Victoria's first summer so her parents were very excited. They chose to spend their holiday on a boat cruising around Ibiza with friends.

They tried to avoid the paparazzi most of the time, although at times it was impossible. They didn't want their daughter to be so exposed, so when that happened, they tended to stay indoors.

—Go out for a while, I'll stay with her— said Pippa, taking her niece in her arms.

The couple enjoyed sunbathing and swimming in the sea while the paparazzi took pictures of them. All the international press had descended on the Mediterranean coast trying to get a picture of Victoria's first holiday, but they were very anxious not to see her at any point.

-A few pictures and they'll go away— the security guard told them, making the couple sigh and have to agree. Neither of them liked the press taking pictures of their little daughter, so they tried to protect her as much as possible.

—She's going to be fine, I promise— William said to his girlfriend, giving her a kiss on the forehead.

When the baby went outside the cameras went crazy trying to capture every moment. Victoria loved the sea, so her parents took her to the bow. William played with her causing a smile to spread across Kate's face.

They stayed there for about half an hour until they went back inside, but the baby started crying as she wanted to spend more time outside. It broke her parents' hearts, they wanted her to be able to spend more time in the sea, but they didn't want their 6 month old daughter's face on every magazine in the world.

They tried to distract her in every way, but the baby kept looking longingly at the windows where the sea was. William could contain himself no longer and asked the captain to move to try to scare off the paparazzi. Luckily, before she was free of them, Victoria ended up sleeping in the arms of her mother, who looked at her sadly as she pondered whether this was the life she wanted for her daughter.

—She's so beautiful— Pippa spoke, approaching her sister and looking at her niece, Kate didn't respond, just nodded her head as she was too deep in thought. —Are you alright?— she asked a little worried.

—Everything's fine, she's just so quiet that I don't want to disturb her— she excused herself and her sister understood that she didn't want to talk about what was happening to her. Gave her a little kiss on the cheek and a little side hug as she felt she needed it.

—I think we should leave tomorrow— William announced when the three of them were alone in their cabin. —When the pictures come out they will be double— he explained making his girlfriend sigh but she nodded.

The woman wanted to spend more time on the island, but she knew that if they stayed she would not enjoy it, as having more than ten boats around them waiting to see the six month old baby, was not what she wanted.

—My grandmother has invited us to Balmoral— said the prince wrapping his arms around his bride's waist and he could feel her immediately tense up.

—Me too?— she asked a little apprehensively.

—Of course.

The brunette was quite surprised, she had met the queen twice before, but to know that he had invited her was quite a pressure. She knew that William's whole family was waiting for them to get engaged, but she wasn't ready yet.

That morning they caught a plane to Edinburgh, leaving their friends on the ship. When Victoria woke up and looked out of the window, instead of the sea there were only clouds, which made her cry a little.
