I open my eyes to a bit of light peaking through the blinds.
What time is it?

I yawn and cover my mouth, immediately after I notice the empty space in the bed next to me.

Sitting up I rub my eyes to rid them of sleep before swinging my legs off the bed as a sudden urge to pee fills my body.

I run into the bathroom and quickly sit on the toilet to empty my bladder. Washing my hands, face and brushing my teeth.

I walk back into the bedroom and climb back into bed hugging my pillow craving for the sweet escape of sleep to bring me back in.

I just want to sleep the day off .

My plans are quickly nipped as the bedroom door opens and the smell of food greets me.

"Nie?"
I don't respond, hoping he'll leave and let me go back to sleep.

"Baby wake up and eat something.." I feel a hand rub my shoulder, "I'm not hungry.." I mumble.

"You have to eat Taniyah.." he tells me, I sigh.
"Fine."

I sit up in the bed and look at the plate, "You always come with some big healthy breakfast.." I say jokingly, he chuckles.

"Haffi keep you healthy baby."
I offer a small smile as he picks up the fork, I watch him.

He begins feeding me and himself interchangeably, just like he used to when we first started dating...

I stare at him as my heart feels full,
"Taste the sumn nuh baby." I pout,
"You know I don't like it." I whine.

Why him continuously try force me fi eat callaloo ?

"Nie open you mouth and eat it, it's good for you."
He tells me, I sigh and take it in my mouth.

I chew it slowly hating the texture, "Mi nuh like this.."

"You nuh like the food me make fi you?" He asks me, I swallow it. "I didn't say that...me just nuh like the green sumn."

He shake his head at me, "It's good for you and the pain you've been feeling."
