MARTA MADE THE FIRST MOVE towards the other side, shooting at Steve and his teammates from the comfort of her jet. T'Challa and Bucky were fighting, so as much as it pained Marta to do it, she shot at her brother, missing him on purpose. She shot at Sam, who was flying against Rhodey, diving her jet out of the way of his guns returning fire towards her. She delivered bombs and they blew up in the order she sent them. First getting Clint, then Wanda, and then Steve.

Wanda tossed Natasha to the side, so Marta shot at her. "Keep your magic paws off my Nat." Marta said, her voice projected once she hit a button so Wanda could hear. Wanda responded by using her magic in an attempt to send Marta hurtling through the air, but Marta's piloting skills were simply better than Wanda's powers.

"Aww, you do care." Natasha joked, pushing herself to her feet.

Marta rolled her eyes and kept circling, intercepting everyone's fights, causing chaos. Steve was facing off against Peter, and Marta launched bombs at his shields just to piss him off. It was working. It was incredible how much more comfortable Marta was in the air than on the ground. Her father always said one day she would soar, and he was right.

There was so much going on, but Marta just kept flying. Tony's suit was infiltrated by Ant-Man, who was now tiny again. She could tell Steve and Bucky were planning something, so to throw them off, she shot bullets at them. "You missed!" Bucky shouted to his sister.

"I wasn't aiming at you!" Marta responded, and a bomb she had mixed in with her bullets went off at a crate beside Bucky.

Somehow, someway, Scott, who was previously tiny, was now as large as a building, holding onto Rhodey and preventing him from flying away. "Holy shit!" Peter shouted in disbelief, Marta's jaw open in amazement.

"What the hell?" Marta asked aloud, flying her jet over to Scott.

"Okay, tiny dude is big now. He's big now." Rhodey said in a panic, relaxing when he saw Marta come into view.

She started shooting at Scott, but her bullets were merely grazing him due to his size. Marta didn't particularly want to hurt this man that Steve had dragged in, so she held off. "Give me back my Rhodey." Tony demanded as Marta thought of what to do.

Unfortunately, her gaze landed on Steve and Bucky running for the hanger, and she didn't see Scott's enlarged hand coming at her until it was too late. When Scott swung Rhodey away, his arm knocked harshly into Marta's jet, and she was crashing towards the ground at a fast rate. As she tried to steady herself, she hit the side of a building, and her jet exploded with her in it. She passed out as soon as she landed on the ground, fire engulfing her body.

If Steve and Bucky had known Marta was hurt, they would've turned around instantly. When Marta finally came to, extremely concussed from her fall, she could barely breathe. The fire was spreading, and she was stuck in it. It was Vision who was pulling her from the wreck of her plane, setting her on the ground before flying off again. Marta, dizzy, pushed herself to her feet and went to see what was happening. Her suit was fireproof, so after coughing out some smoke, she was good to go.

Giant Ant-Man was down, and Rhodey and Tony were flying after a quinjet. It had to be Steve and Bucky they were after. Thinking quickly and regretting being down for so long, Marta found herself in a helicopter, flying to assist her team. "Took you long enough." Tony commented when he saw her.

"Yeah, well we can blame all of this on my fucking husband." Marta said. The helicopter had no weapons, but Marta would make do the best she could.

Rhodey noticed Sam coming towards him, and he knew Marta couldn't do much. "Vision, I got a bandit on my six." Rhodey said, dodging the explosives Sam shot at him. Marta stuck her gun out of the side of the helicopter and shot blindly at Sam, her aim spot on.

"Vision!" Marta shouted, knowing she and Rhodey couldn't fly after the quinjet and take all of this fire.

"You copy? Target his thrusters, turn him into a glider." Rhodey urged the android.

Vision went to shoot at Sam, but he dodged the attack, and Vision's beam sliced through the chest plate on Rhodey's suit, and he began to fall. "Rhodey!" Marta shouted, turning her helicopter around, abandoning the mission. A life was so much more important.

Marta flew the helicopter as fast as it could go to get to Rhodey, Sam and Tony following her. "Rhodey!" Tony yelled. Rhodey's suit was completely offline, and if someone didn't get to him, he would die.

Marta's fatal flaw was that everyone's life was more important than hers was. Realizing that Marta was the only one who get to Rhodey and survive the fall, she sighed. "Fuck it." Marta cursed before she jumped out of the side of the helicopter, diving for Rhodey.

"Rhodes!" Tony screamed, terrified Marta wouldn't get to his best friend.

But somehow, Marta grabbed Rhodey out of the air. She didn't realize how close the ground was, because she didn't roll in time, and both she and Rhodey hit the ground, hard. "No, no, no," Marta muttered as soon as she hit the ground, sitting up and turning Rhodey onto his back, using her strength to rip his helmet off. "Come on, Rhodey." Marta said, trying to hear a heartbeat. There were broken bones ripping through her body, but she would heal. Rhodey might not.

Tony arrived and retracted his helmet, kneeling beside his best friend. "Read vitals." he instructed his A.I.

"Heartbeat detected. Emergency medical is on its way." FRIDAY revealed, and Marta and Tony exhaled.

Sam landed on the ground. "I'm sorry." he said to Tony and Marta. In an angered response, Tony raised his hand and blasted Sam away with the powers on his suit. Vision arrived gracefully as Marta started splitting open Rhodey's suit, beginning to assess his injuries immediately.

She was a trained physical therapist, she never forgot all that she had learned during the war. Maybe she could help. "I'm so sorry, Tony. I'm sorry about all of this. I never wanted any of this to happen," Marta said as she saw the state Rhodey's spine was in. She didn't dare move him. Marta looked up at a quivering Tony. "I just wanted my brother." Marta didn't expect this, but Tony reached out and grabbed Marta's hand with a nod. He understood.
