The snowman•••••••
"Come outside and see the snowman I built!"
Peter laughed as Edmund quite literally dragged him out the back door and into the garden, before letting him go and proudly pointing towards his creation.
The snowman stood tall in the very middle of the garden. He was wearing a green hat and a green scarf, with bits of coal for his eyes, his mouth and his buttons.
However Peter did frown. "Um, tell me why you've used a tangerine for its nose?" He questioned.
Edmund shrugged. "Why not?" He explained. "I think it looks better than a carrot actually."
Peter chuckled gently. "Well I think it's just magnificent." He said happily. "All those hours really paid off."
"Yeah but I am absolutely freezing now." Edmund decided after a moment or two. "The snowman has my scarf."
The laugh that Peter let out after this was truly childlike, and it made Edmund smile a bit.
"Come on," Peter said. "Let's get you inside and warmed up. A nice cup of tea will do wonders."
Edmund liked the sound of that, and followed Peter back towards the house.
He looked back at his snowman when he reached the door, and just maybe he could've sworn he'd winked at him.
Obviously that couldn't be true and was probably just his childish brain playing tricks on him, but he also knew he could never underestimate the magic of Christmas.
