Seven Platoons.

Five Captains.

Two force users.

One plan.

The discussion on a plan of attack had been finalized between you, Veraxsis, Commander Rex, Captain Echo, Hunter, Wolffe, Gregor, Tech, as well as Sargent Wrecker and Crosshair. Tech had laid out his recommendations for the battle plan, and Veraxsis had given his insight on what would happen once the prisoners were flown off the planets surface. You had been in discussion for well over an hour and Commander Rex noticed the thoughtful looks on his captains faces as well as a distant expression on your own.

"Lets take up this discussion again this evening. Now that we have decided on the plan of attack I'll leave it to you gentleman to recommend your best pilots for our fleet. We only have twenty fighter-class ships, so they will need to be our best. We can finish assignments this evening and discuss any further roles at that time. Is there anything we else we need to cover now?" Rex suggested, knowing that most of these men would simply follow the plan as instructed.

The Captains simply nodded in agreement, with a few looks going around the room. With that decided, the meeting was adjourned and you all filtered out into the hallway leading to hangar 1. You thought the plan was well thought out with the information you had, and was actually going to be successful. For the first time over this entire operation you actually felt confident they could pull this off, despite a nagging feeling in the back of your mind. It had been decided that Golrin would stick with Captain Wolffe's platoon, but you weren't sure where you would be placed. It had been surprising not to hear about your involvement given how detailed Tech had been about the plan, but you assumed you would hear about it this evening and brushed it off.

Now that the Captains were walking back to their platoons after the briefing, you stuck behind with Commander Rex and Veraxsis. Tech noticed that you had stopped and hung back as well, but not before requesting Crosshair to go check on the engineering progress. The sniper had looked at Tech as if he had asked him to do something disdainful, but after he glanced over at you and then back at Tech he shrugged and did what Tech had asked.

You didn't mean to eves drop, so you and Tech stayed a short ways away from the Commander. Granted, you could still hear the delight in Veraxsis's voice about the topic they were discussing. Evidently you were not the only one who was feeling more confident. The only words you caught from there discussing seemed to be about 'the guild is shifting' and 'transitions in power'. Your not sure how it tied into what Rex was doing, but you would hear about it later if it was really that important.

With his discussion complete and Commander Rex off to instruct his platoon you were left in the hallway with a cheery Veraxsis and neutral Tech. The smuggler looked to your husband curiously, before bringing his yellow eyes to your face, a new smile breaking out over his purple features.

"How are you doing? Would now be a good time?" The smuggler asked, his tail sweeping behind him before wrapping itself around one of his legs and settling into an empty holster.

"I'm doing okay" you reply, "We can all move to the second floor. They won't disturb us there."

"Are you joining us?" Veraxsis asked, a slight hint of distaste in his tone as he looked at Tech.

"Affirmative" Tech replied, his neutral expression unwavering.

"Then lets get this over with" The smuggler added on, stepping back into he hallway towards the stairwell that led up to the second floor of heated rooms. You and Tech followed, holding your husbands hand as reassurance. The room you chose was a comfortable temperature, unlocked but abandoned now that all the troopers were out training. There were mats all over the floor that had been kept 'mostly' in rows and the rest of the room was covered in blankets and other small items that had been put aside. The smell wasn't strong, but you could clearly tell men slept here, even as it intermingled with the smell from the furnace and hangar.
