Part 6

Later that evening, Kiyotaka entered the third year dorms with Tonokawa in tow.

Worried that he wouldn't be able to get in without a third year's help, Kiyotaka asked for help from Asahina. However, with Asahina out of action due to her injury, she couldn't go with him. Therefore, there were only two other girls he could ask for help from—Tonokawa Makoto and Kiryuuin Fuuka. Since he didn't want to owe another favour to Kiryuuin, he reluctantly asked for Tonokawa to help.

"You know, you could just leave Nagumo to rot in his room for the rest of the year. I'd rather you do that than try to push him back to his two feet."

Unsurprisingly, Tonokawa was also quite reluctant to help, even going as far as to say Kiyotaka shouldn't even bother. But he wasn't going to listen to her. Kiyotaka wasn't doing this for Nagumo or for the third years. In fact, part of himself didn't really know why he was doing this either, but he felt he had to.

Not getting a response out of him, Tonokawa sighed and didn't press any further. She directed him into the elevator and they climbed to the fourth floor of the third year dorms. Eyes from other third year students and scrutinising the pair, which was understandable since the two were involved with Nagumo's downfall. But the pair ignored them.

"Since the election day, how have you been managing?" He decided to ask while the elevator was still climbing. He did have a chance to ask her when he and Kei visited Tony's Maid & Cat Cafe nearly two weeks ago, but she didn't seem like she wanted to talk and they had more important stuff to be working on.

"You know how Fuuka has been treated? Basically that. People in my class glare at me often, but I ignore them. Fuuka has been getting in other people's way too when they confront me. It is what it is, I gave you the documents to expose him after all."

The door opened to show that they arrived at the fourth floor of the third year dorms. Kiyotaka and Tonokawa exited the elevator and made a short walk to the door that led to Nagumo's room 401.

"This is it. Asahina-san should have texted Nagumo to let him know that someone is coming. So I'll leave you here since I don't want to be seen with him. You won't need me to exit the dorms, will you?"

"Yes. This will do. Thank you, Tonokawa-senpai."

Not being needed anymore, Tonokawa left to head back to the elevator, hitting the up button likely to head back to her own room. As soon as she entered the elevator, Kiyotaka turned his focus back to the door in front of him. He knocked on the door and waited.

...And waited...

...And waited...

He decided to knock again, thinking Nagumo didn't hear that someone was at the door. Kiyotaka decided to knock on the front door again, however after another 30 seconds there was no response. Usually, this meant the person in question was not home or they didn't want to talk. The best course of action was to call it a quits and come back tomorrow.
