Intro

As the clock came close to hitting 2pm, the vocalists of the KiyoKei band returned to the maid café after taking their one hour break.

Upon entry through the back entrance, they searched around the room for their leader and found him talking to Hirata off to the side. They needed to report to him for the next set of orders.

"Ah. The girls are back, Ayanokouji-kun. I'm going to prepare myself to take my break then. I'm sure I can leave the rest in Sotomura-kun's and Ichihashi-san's hands," Hirata commented as the girls approached the two boys.

Kiyotaka also turned to face the girls, and as soon as he did, he noticed something was off about Kei. Her smile at him, he could tell it was fake. Her posture was off, and her eyes had a little hint of fear in them. No, it was more accurate to say that there was a message hidden in her eyes that only he could see.

"Ayanokouji-kun. What's next? Are we going to perform any more songs?" Satou asked on behalf of everyone.

"Not anymore. Haruka and Akito are going to have their breaks too. The rest of our shift will focus more on your maid service and photographs," Kiyotaka answered, his eyes still glancing between Kei and the rest of the girls.

When the girls nodded, they all made their way to the stage... except one. Matsushita approached Kiyotaka until she was right in his face. She whispered to him.

"I think something's happened with Kei-chan. We went to the change rooms while Kei-chan stayed outside. Everything had been fine until we came back out. Kei-chan's demeanour took a 180 in that time. When we were eating, she barely talked and she looked quite angry about something. Do you know anything, Ayanokouji-kun?"

[So it's begun...] He thought to himself.

"Perhaps Kei's having a mood swing?" Kiyotaka threw back.

"Ayanokouji-kun. I'm a girl as well, you know. Girls know girls very well, and I know very well her aura change is not due to mood swings from that day of the month. Please don't even think about using that excuse again when you should know your own girlfriend as much as we do."

He guessed he had that coming, it was a poor excuse.

"You're right, I apologise. Either way, I think it's best to leave it for the time being. Kei knows not to let personal things get in the way of special exams. We can ask her after everything is over." He tried to divert the attention away from her for the time being.

It was clear that Matsushita was dubious of that idea, but since her leader gave her the instructions she decided it was best to let it go for now. The girls joined the rest of the maids who were really busy serving the increasing number of customers. The orders, the service, everything had been moving off the shelf and straight into the customer's hearts and stomachs.
