Christmas Eve

"Right I reckon it's time for bed." Peter breathed, patting Lucy's shoulder.
"Oh, but it's Christmas Eve!" Lucy argued.
"I know it's Christmas Eve." Peter just laughed. "But it's late." He pointed out, and he was right, it was getting on for midnight actually but none of them had seemed to realise the time.
"But I'm not tired." Lucy told him, however
her face told her siblings otherwise.
"Go on Lu," Edmund stepped in with a gentle smile and a small nod. "Hey the quicker you go to bed the quicker Christmas will come if you really think about it."
Lucy stared at him for a while, but she seemed to like that idea in the end for she nodded. "Okay," She breathed. "As long as you all go to bed too."
Susan laughed. "I'm knackered so you haven't got to tell me twice." She replied, placing down her book and standing. "You coming with me?"
Lucy nodded. "Yep." She said. "See you all on Christmas day!"
Peter and Edmund laughed gently.
"See you on Christmas day Lu."
"See you tomorrow."
