Peter Quill- Memories

"O-o-h child things are gonna get easier.."

Peter rests his head on his palm, smiling sadly as the song continues. He remembers the first time he kissed her, which he accidentally clashed teeth with (Y/n) and got a fat lip, but it was worth it.

"O-o-h child things are gonna get brighter.."

When Peter confessed his feelings to (Y/n), his heart nearly jumped out his chest when she started laughing, but quickly reassured him that she felt the same.

"O-o-h things are gonna get easier.."

Their first dance was to this song, and Peters eyes begin to water as he recalls the way she was giggling in his ear when he pulled her close after he dipped her with a dramatic movement.

"O-o-h child things'll get brighter.."

He couldn't pick just one thing he loved about (Y/n), because he thought everything was perfect. She was perfect and his, until that horrible day that makes Peter break down just thinking about it.

"Some day, yeah.."

(Y/n) and Peter had been walking aimlessly around earth, only stopping by the planet to pick up a few needed items, then hop back on the ship and cruise the Galaxy.

"We'll get it together and we'll get it all done.."

A man jumped out from an ally, gun pointed at them, demanding for their money when (Y/n) was quick to say that they wouldn't, resulting in the man shooting her right in front of Peter.

"Some day when your head is much lighter.."

Wiping his salty cheeks, Peter smiles at the picture of him and (Y/n) posing for a picture. She's in Peters arms, tongue out and legs stretched in the air, while Peters eyes are on her with the biggest grin.

"Some day, yeah.."
