"You know we never searched Alex's house," Sophie said.

"What do you mean?" I replied.

"Remember Dad's case we searched most of the persons of interest homes but never Alex's house we didn't interrogate him enough he had a very strong alibi," Sophie explained.

"So what are you suggesting?" I gave Sophie a questioning look.

"We should search Alex's house," Sophie commented.

"Are you suggesting we break an entry?" I said in a mock-serious voice.

"No we just search the house a little bit and take pictures if we find anything.... ahem... illegal," She paused.

"But you know breaking an entry is a crime," I stated.

"But harboring a missing person can also be considered a felony so we can just go and search his flipping house already," Her voice rising with annoyance.

"Fine but if we get caught it's your fault," I retorted.

Sophie's POV

As we drove to Alex's home Dorothy spoke up breaking the ugly silence in the car.

"So how did it go with Zach," Her eyes moved from the road to me.

"Great we laughed and talked a little. It was nice," I said a small smile creeping onto my face.

"Nice? That's it nice?" Dorothy's voice raised in shock.

"What we had coffee and talked that's it," I retorted.

"That's it?!" The shock in her voice rose further.

"You've impossible, Dorothy," I reciprocated.

"No, you are. I expected you to tell Zach how you feel about him," She said trying to motivate me.

"Baby steps I will work up the courage to tell him... eventually," I said.

"You're impossible," Dorothy sighed the frustration in her voice imminent.

"Don't worry about me hon I'll get there soon," I said.

We pulled up at Alex's mansion and it was so freakin large.

It had 5 freaking floors and a pool the size of 2 acres of land.

Anytime I asked Mom what Alex did for a leaving she couldn't give me an answer.

She would say he's just a highly trained professional in the business field.

It took me two and a half hours to completely disarm Alex's security and it had very tough firewalls.

I am extremely impressed. Out of all the security systems I've hacked this has to be the most prestigious yet.

I've always wondered if someone had realized I hacked into their system.

Dorothy and I put our hair in a hair net and wore gloves and bags underneath our feet so we would leave zero evidence.

None.

So Alex couldn't trace anything back to us.

"Ugh there's no spare keys, nothing. How are we supposed to get into the stupid stupid freaking mansion," Dorothy said her voice filled with frustration and rage.

"Elementary, my dear Watson I saw a ladder and an open window. I saw a damaged window frame too. I'm sure someone was hired to fix it but they forgot to shut the window," I said with a massive smirk spread across my face.

We ran to the back of the house, climbed up the 7 foot ladder and  hopped into the house.

We were soon greeted with the sight of an empty room with a small bed.

"So you take the 1 and 2nd floor and I'll take the top three," I gave her the game plan.

"No you hit your head you have lost all sense of coordination," She stated.

"You're so mean," I pouted.

"The point is I will get around faster so we can leave as soon as possible," Dorothy pointed out.

"Fine, fine, fine, I'll go downstairs," I said almost tripping on my way out.

"See nonsense of coordination," Dorothy said chuckling.

"Shut up," I said tripping on my way out.

We disappeared in different directions trying to navigate this stupid maze of a house.

I kept flinging open doors and 70 percent of the rooms were abandoned and filled with dust.

I opened the door to a room that was so dusty I started to sneeze so much I felt like my nose was about to fall off.

"Achoo, Achoo, Achoo!!" I sniffled and slammed the door shut before my nose got attacked by all that dust in that desert-like room.

I opened the door and was greeted by a warm cozy room.

Yes, definitely a study.

I sat on the revolving chair and it started to move back and slammed into a wall.

I heard creaking sounds and a wall started to lower itself slowly until it touched the ground.

"Dorothy! Come see something," I yelled, my voice echoing across the empty mansion.

"What the frick happened here?" This shock in her voice was imminent.

"I was resting and the chair rolled back and this wall came down," I explained.

Dorothy moved the cloth off the wall showcasing tons of guns.

"What the heck?" Dorothy asked, "Why does he have so many weapons?"

"Maybe it's for self-defense?" I asked.

"You don't need dozens of guns to protect yourself," Dorothy retorted.

"Wait what is that?" I asked shifting the guns from their position.

I pulled out a clear bag with white pills in it.

"Xz," Dorothy stated.

"Thanks for stating the obvious," I mumbled.

"That means Alex was buying Xz," Dorothy said.

"Obviously, but why?" I said.

Just then I heard clicking noises

"Crap someone's back," I whispered.

We've been hiding under the bed in the room we used to get into the house and Bella was sitting right on top of us.

"I need to get a snack maybe a fruit salad...nah a big bag of Lays," Bella stood up and strolled out of the room.

We scrambled from under and went down the ladder as quickly as we could, sprinted into Dorothy's car and sped off.

"See you're out of breath," She said with a smirk.

"Shut up, I haven't been allowed to run until recently," I said panting.

Alex bought Xz was he "Alexus" on Greenfield's burner phone?
