ʚ▬▬ι═ ═══ﺤ I-Island - Control Room, Secretary of Directors ─ │
┆--3RD PERSON POV--┆
From the beating heart of I-Island's most secure and heavily fortified district stood the Control Room, a place that even the highest-ranking officials could not enter without express authorization from The Guardian herself. Suspended above the island's towering outer steel defenses like a watchtower, the room was lined with seamless white walls that pulsed softly with embedded circuitry, feeding directly into the island's security mainframe. The expansive, reinforced glass window at the front offered a panoramic view of the endless ocean.
It was a fortress within a fortress, a place where oversight and absolute power reigned with priority. The rules were simple and brutal; if you were found where you didn't belong, you were shot... rank be damned. But no one ever dared to break protocol. Why would they? The Guardian had ensured their comfort and kept every necessity within arm's reach. It was a gilded cage, but a paradise nonetheless. And what fool would ever want to leave paradise?
And yet, despite the order they lived by, chaos was unfolding on the screens before them.
"Why are we holding back?" one of the Cabinet members snapped, his voice was full of frustration that normally wouldn't be acceptable, but the feeling was heavily mutual. His fists clenched against the smooth white surface of the cybernetic conference table as he glared at the live holographic projections floating in the air, screens of multiple feeds that hovered in front of the glass wall. "We could've had Y/n in custody by now! Hell, we could have had all of them!"
The others murmured in agreement, their expressions dark with pressure. They watched as I-Island faced an unprecedented event, an active attack. The island, a beacon of technological advancement and security, was being shaken at its center. The attackers were not external forces but rather variables that had been allowed to run loose. And yet, despite the obvious threat, Aracely had made it clear... no response beyond her direct command. No full-force retaliation.
The drone feed hovered high above the battlefield, broadcasting every moment in crystal clarity. The room collectively flinched as All Might rocketed forward, his fist colliding with Aracely's stomach in a devastating blow. The impact sent tremors through the battlefield and sent her body flying like a missile. All it took was one swing.
Gasps rippled through the room. Some officials jumped to their feet in disbelief.
"This is absurd!" one of them barked.
"Why aren't we deploying heavy units?!" another demanded.
"This is a game to her, isn't it?" someone muttered under their breath.
"All Might knows he's not permitted to interfere! What the hell is he thinking?"
Through the rising tension, the Vice Guardian, who had remained silent until now, slowly stood from her seat at the far end of the chamber. The air around her felt atmospheric to her being, heavy with authority. Strands of her sleek, dark hair veiled her eyes. That didn't matter to her, her presence alone commanded attention. She didn't need to raise her voice.
