HUGE trigger warning. Yall, this was very hard to write, I don't know how hard it would be to read. I'm not going to spoil but you read my TW in the beginning before starting my story so you know what you signed up for. Sorry in advance.

Blaire

She's gripping my arm harshly, her long nails digging into my skin, but that's the least of my concerns right now. God knows where she's taking me. I'm struggling to hold up the heavy blanket on my shoulders while walking this fast.

I'm in the middle of my miserable train of thoughts when Aliana's voice breaks it. "You know, things aren't always what they seem to be." The last thing I want to do is have a conversation with the one person making my life a living hell, but I couldn't help the confused look I gave her.

As we enter an entirely new wing, she speaks again. "Kind of like how you never knew Levi was a vampire. Would you have ever thought of something like that before you knew?" She asks as she takes a seat on the large bed in the middle of the wing. I stand by the closed double doors, stunned into silence. Why's she talking to me?

This has to be a trick. I don't know why she's tricking me, I mean I'm already here, what else is there to do?

But I do manage to shake my head 'no'.

She has her legs crossed and the expression on her face is kind of troubled. "So we do agree that things aren't what they seem? Well how about when I tell you that Levi is the reason why you're here?"

That's it. She's trying to turn me against Levi. She just can't help herself.

"You can talk you know. I won't bite. At least not right now. Right now is safe to speak." She says bit oddly enough, her face looks genuine.

What the fuck? How can anything she do be genuine?

"Go ahead." She gestures with her hand.

She's giving me a perfect opportunity to speak up my mind, that's one of the things I wanted...

"You really want to know what I think, Aliana." I enunciate her name, wanting to see her reaction. All I got was a split second of shock then she immediately masked it away with a smile. " Yes, I do. And just so you know, all you know about me, the portrait, the names on it and who painted it. All that stuff I wanted you to know. Don't try that with me again. I'm always three steps ahead. Anyway, continue." She gestures for me to sit.

I clutch the blanket closer to my bare body. "I think that you want to ruin every last good thing in my life before you kill me. You want me to spend every last second of it miserable and hopeless that I don't even think of trying to escape anymore. You want me to rethink everything I ever knew. Well, newsflash, I'm not falling for it. You can keep trying, you can break me apart, but what you cannot break is my love for Levi. Even though he's a vampire, he's good, which proves that you did this to yourself. You're evil because you want to be not because you were forced to–"

"You think I wanted this?!" She cuts me off, standing suddenly and is now towering one foot away from me. It takes everything inside of me not to step back, but the look on her face makes me really want to. "You think any of this is my doing? Your little snugglebunny is the one who forced me to be like this. He lied to you almost the whole time you knew him and you still trust him blindly. You think he's so innocent when you don't even know half the truth!"

Despite my fear, I step closer as I look up at her. "And what, you're the honorable one who doesn't lie? You want me to talk to you? You want to hear what I have to say?" I walk to the bed and sit, I don't know where the newfound bravery came from, but there's no backing out now.
