Nico was at home, watching some TV, when Y/N knocked on his door. Nico opened it, to find Y/N crying at his door, "Y/N? What's wrong?"
Nico pulled Y/N inside and closed the door before pulling her into his arms as she cried, "Shh... It's okay, Sonnenschein, I got you."
Y/N cried even harder as Nico held her tighter, soaking his shirt with her tears, but he didn't seem to mind. Finally, Y/N managed to speak through her tears, "He cheated, Nico... Andrew cheated on me and left when I confronted him..."
Nico held Y/N tightly, stroking her hair gently as she sobbed against his chest, "Shhh, es tut mir leid Liebling... I'm so sorry that happened to you," He murmured softly, pressing a tender kiss to the top of her head. Pulling back slightly, Nico cupped Y/N's face in his hands, using his thumbs to wipe away her tears, "Listen to me, Y/N. You deserve so much better than someone who would betray your trust like that. Don't let his actions make you doubt your worth." Nico's eyes shone with sincerity and anger at what Y/N's ex had done to her, "I know it hurts now, but this pain will pass. And I'll be right here beside you every step of the way, okay? You're not alone in this."
Y/N sniffled and nodded, leaning into Nico's comforting touch as he wiped away her tears. She looked up at him, her own eyes red-rimmed but filled with gratitude, "Nico... thank you. Just being here with you makes me feel a little better."
She took a shaky breath, "I don't understand why he did it. We were happy, weren't we? Or at least, I thought we were..." A fresh wave of sadness washed over her, and she buried her face in Nico's chest again. After a moment, Y/N lifted her head, a small, wry smile tugging at her lips, "You always knew how to make me feel better when we were kids. Guess some things never change, huh?" Her voice was tinged with amusement and affection, despite the underlying hurt.
Nico chuckled softly, the sound rumbling in his chest as he wrapped his arms around Y/N once more, holding her close, "Ja, some things definitely don't change, especially when it comes to us," He said with a warm smile.
Leaning down, Nico pressed a gentle, reassuring kiss to Y/N's forehead, "We've been through tough times before, and we always come out stronger on the other side. You'll be happy again. I promise."
Nico stepped back slightly, taking both of Y/N's hands in his, looking deeply into her eyes, "You're strong, resilient, and incredibly beautiful, inside and out. Any man would be lucky to have you, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart."
(...)
A few weeks passed, and Y/N became withdrawn, aching, and heartbroken from her ex-boyfriend's betrayal. She asked her boss to allow her to work from home, a place she barely left since the betrayal.
Fed up with seeing Y/N so withdrawn, Nico decided to take matters into his own hands. He decided to head to Y/N's home, determined to get Y/N to come out of her self-imposed solitude. Nico knocked loudly on Y/N's door, "Y/N, sonnenschein, open up. Before I decide to force this door open."
After several moments of silence, the door creaked open to reveal Y/N, her hair disheveled and dark circles under her eyes. She stood there, blocking the entrance, her expression guarded and wary, "Go away, Nico," Y/N said flatly, trying to shut the door in his face. But Nico was quicker, slamming his foot against it to prevent her from closing it completely.
"Nicht so schnell, Liebling!" Nico insisted, pushing his way inside and shutting the door behind him. He turned to face Y/N, his green eyes intense with concern and determination, "I'm not leaving until you talk to me and let me help you through this," Nico declared firmly, advancing towards Y/N with purposeful strides. "You can't just lock yourself away and expect everything to magically heal itself."
