•[The Ballroom]•

Y/N pushed through a door and sighed. She's tired and bleeding on her left arm. She exhales heavily, swallowing as she checked her wound. She's starting to think to herself that there is no end to this place.

Y/N glances around, taking in the width and height of the room. There's a stage and three huge chandeliers. Every angle of the room are double doors and there's a second floor that looks for seating. She thought two things, it's either a theatre or a ballroom. Neither would surprise her.

Y/N shuffles in the middle of the room, looking around for cameras. Another thing she's been doing is getting rid of the visible cameras around. She counted eight. Y/N aimed at one and pulled the trigger, just for a click to sound.

She was about to toss it when someone came barging through the double doors on the right. Y/N aimed despite not having any ammo. She would go on pure bravery and sheer luck that she doesn't get killed.

The person that stumbled inside, a gun in his left hand and dagger in his right, and hair touching their back. Y/N immediately knew who it was.

Kenma.

Luckily, no one died. Just injuries and knockouts. He looks up, noticing the bright chandeliers, glittering in silent beauty. He turns his head, the ballroom door shutting closed.

When he does, he sees her. Y/N. Standing there with her gun aimed but going unmoving. Kenma felt his heart skip beats upon seeing her. He hasn't seen her in so long. So much so he forgot what she looked like.

A suit with blood splatter and a lot of dried blood on her hands.

He was not expecting to see her so soon. As for Y/N, she wasn't expecting him at all. It's been months. She nearly ran into his arms and begged to be forgiven and for them to head home, but things feel different. The energy in the air is...unfamiliar.

Neither of them said a word. What can they say to each other? It almost feels familiar. Almost.

"You ruined everything." He finally says. Y/N drops her aim.

"I'm helping."

"No...you ruined everything." He states calmly.

"Tao needs to be put down. Omen needs to be put down."

"Are you happy with your resolution?"

"I am. Omen is a danger to everyone and everything. Keeping any of the brothers alive is a threat to everyone I know."

Kenma nearly scoffed. "Y/N...no. You did everything wrong. You learned nothing being with me. Always use your head before picking a fight or acting on impulse, this," he motions, "was impulse."

Y/N shook her head. "Natalie turned our own daughter against us. I was helping Holly escape the abuse she had been forced to endure for years. She called on you, you know, to help her and you didn't help at all. You couldn't even keep your promise."

"I don't want to fight, Y/N." He whispers. And he doesn't. "I just want you to put the gun down. Let's leave. I had everything under control from the very beginning. It worked until you derailed everything. Nobody had to die."
