Yesterday Light confronted me and today we got one last message from Misa. It says that she will stop looking for Kira, but she will keep killing criminals and give her power to others who she feels deserve it. Of course I know that that is not how it works but the others do not.

Lucian did pick up on the fact that both of the Kiras met though which is good. Light seems thrown off by the fact that he figured that out though. He covers it well and I am the only one who picks it up, possibly because I already know. Lucian goes on about how this makes him suspect Light less though because that is not the words he would expect Light to use.

Light then says what he would say if he were Kira. Of course it is much different from what is on the video but it would not make much sense if it was quite similar. Lights dad makes it clear how uncomfortable he is with Light saying if he were Kira.

"I only feel comfortable saying things like that because I am not Kira."

"Well I certainly hope you are not Kira because I am beginning to see you as a friend. My second ever." Everyone in the room seems shocked by this.

"Who was your first friend?" One of the officers asks.

"Mitsuki obviously." He says as though they have no thoughts in their heads.

"Oh, I guess that makes sense." The officer says awkwardly rubbing his hand across the back of his neck.

The rest of the night goes as usual and everyone goes home. I am in bed with Lucian so I can make sure he sleeps when Ryuik comes into the room. I look over at Lucian and see that he is asleep so I whisper to Ryuik. "What?"

"They are planning to kill L here."

"After I gave them the warning?" He nods. "Why are you telling me?"

"I don't want you to think that I had any part in this."

"I see. What about Rem?"

"He agreed to be a part of it."

"Great. Now I have a question for you."

"What?"

"What happens if the god of death that owns a death note dies? I mean to the person who has the death note."

"I am not sure. It has never happened but in all likelihood she will lose her abilities but keep her memories."

"Good. Stay here."

"Alright." He says and I hand him an apple to tide him over. I then head straight to Lights room. I stay in the shadows for a moment as I listen to them planning. Sure enough they are planning to kill Lucian so I step out of the shadows.

"I gave you all two simple rules but you could not follow them." I say after I throw up a silencing spell. They both yelp as they notice me.

"How did you get in here?"

"I have my ways. I warned you, now you will have to face the consequences." I say before turning to the first person I am going to address. "Rem, I was going to kill you but I think this will hurt you more." I say before banishing him back to the realm that houses the Japanese gods of death and then I lock him there so he has no way to get back to earth for hundreds of years but not long enough for him to wither away I do not think.

Then I turn to Misa. "Your powers are too dangerous to the people around me." I say before sealing the eyes she gained from a deal that allows her to see people's names. "Now have a good night. You will face your fates tomorrow." With that I slip into the shadows again and go back to the hotel.

In the morning DNA evidence against Misa comes back and she is arrested. She gets taken away and with Rem gone it is only a matter of time before she admits she did it. So all that is left is Light.

I admit that I saw them conversing on one of my walks and we decide to wait till he comes here himself.

Later in the day he comes and we watch as he approaches trying to act innocent but he knows that I already revealed who he is. I made Ryuik take a vow last night so Light will not get the eyes no matter how much he wants them. He walks into the room and turns to me. "You ruined everything."

"You did this to yourself." I say. I do not even see his arm move before I hear a bang and feel a bullet rip through my body.

"I may not be able to see your name but that doesn't mean I can't kill you." He says before breaking into maniacal laughter. I watch as he is cuffed and lead out and look over as Lucian picks up the top half of my body and sets it on his lap.

I hear people calling an ambulance Lucian talks to me but I know that I will not make it through the night. I can feel it. "You caught them but now you are trying to die."

"Not trying, succeeding. Give me my phone I need to call some people." He goes to get my phone and I slip all the things that are important that I left out into the shadows. As he hands it to he pulls me back into his arms and I dial Yukio.

"Seiji?"

"Yukio."

"Are you okay? You don't sound okay."

"I was shot. I am dying, sorry."

"But what about your healing?"

"I can only heal so much. Honestly that is the only reason I am still in the realm of the living."

"But."

"Shh. Listen. Do not let any of those boring old men become the paladin and do not let the old one take up the mantle either." I say as my vision starts to gain spots.

"Don't leave us."

"Sorry. I do not really have a choice."

"We'll bury you next to dad."

"Thank you. I have to go."

"I love you."

"I love you too. Make sure Rin knows I love him as well."

"I will." He says and I hang up the phone before allowing it to drop to the floor. "Thank you all for your help." I say to the police before turning to Lucian. "L remember to take care of yourself, I love you." I say using the last of my energy to lean up and kiss his cheek.

"I love you too." He says and I allow my eyes to fall closed. I feel a tear fall on my face as I drift into the darkness once again.
