16:Getting to know each other

                  Me and Mike finally got home and I jumped happily out of the car just as I heard his phone ringing. After answering and talking to whoever was that , Mike turned towards me with a rather disappointed look on his face. "Kitty, I can't stay. My father told me that I have to go immediately at home to help him with some business. I wish I could hang out with you but this is really urgent.", he sighed looking at the ground. Something was off. He seemed too agitated, but deciding it was only my imagination playing with my head, I shrugged it off. "Mikey, Mikey, Mikey, I can handle myself. Besides if it's so important why would I hold you back? I'm cool, don't worry!", I said chuckling slightly. He gave me a heart-warming smile, his hazel eyes shining with gratitude. "Ok, I'll go. By the way Ed should arrive soon so you won't be alone. Bye Kitty! See ya later!", he waved getting back into his car and leaving. So... Eidan is coming and the others are being late. This is good, I guess. I never really got the chance to talk to him so much because I would always spend most of my time laughing with Mike or arguing with Luke. To be honest I didn't even spend much time with Chris either and I feel like I haven't talked to him in ages. Such an awful sister you are! Shut up!

               I made a note to myself to spend some time with Chris later. Unlocking my front door, I entered the house and made my way upstairs to get changed. Walking over to my closet I threw my backpack on the bed, not bothering to place it besides the desk. I quickly picked out an outfit and headed into the bathroom to take a shower because I felt really dirty after seeing Lexi and the guy making out at school. Just thinking about the events made me shudder in disgust. I jumped into the shower and started scrubbing myself, making sure no spot remained unclean. After that I dried myself and changed into my outfit.

              Before exiting my room I double checked myself, making sure I looked ok wearing that outfit. The clothes that I chose were a black Batman T-shirt, a pair of blue and black celestial tights and my penguin slippers. I also put my hair in a messy bun and added a bandana, applied some eyeliner and some matched jewelry then I was ready. You may ask yourself 'Why is she making sure she looks good in the clothes? After all she is in her own house so she doesn't have to dress up.'  Well, to defend myself, I want to make a good impression. Yeah, right Vicky. The dude saw you behaving like a two year old and calling one of his friends a unicorn. That was it for the good impression! Shut up you inner, stupid voice.

               By the time I got downstairs Eidan was already in the living room watching something on TV. His back was turned towards me so I decided to surprise him. I didn't really wanted to give him a heart attack so I didn't yell or jump on him. Instead I got closer slowly, as for him not to hear me, and I bent down near his ear before whispering softly. "I was lonely. Glad you came home." He shuddered and turned his head slowly towards me. When I could fully see his face, I observed his rosy cheeks, then the distance between our faces. When I saw how close we were I couldn't help myself but to blush as well. Then I moved my face away from his, even if his blue eyes made me want to stay like that forever, and turned my gaze towards the TV screen. Ok, hold on a second! Did you just thought that his eyes were beautiful?!Yes, yes I did. I'm glad I didn't say it out loud, like I do sometimes when I think about something and end up blurting it out, embarrassing myself in front of other people.

             After our little 'moment' silence fell between us, but it wasn't like the moments of silence I shared with Luke. This one was an awkward silence and it started to get on my nerves so I broke it. "Sorry for scaring you before. I just wanted to get to know you better since we didn't get to spend so much time together.", I said looking at him. "I know. I also wanted to learn more about you besides the fact that you don't like being called Victoria, the fact that you love Disney and Sci-Fi movies and hate the horror ones, love rock music and the fact that you seem to have a strange passion for unicorns.", he stated, at the last part wearing a amused smile on his face. "I do not have a passion for unicorns!", I exclaimed crossing my arms. "Yes ,you do!"

"Yes you do! What about your earrings then?", he asked me, pointing towards my ears. "I just liked the way they looked.", I defended myself. "And what about the fact that you call Mike your unicorn?", he asked chuckling. "Ok maybe I do have a problem with the unicorns." ,I answered giggling at the thought of Mike being an unicorn. After laughing for some time we decided to play 20 questions, and I was the first one to ask. "Ok how come you and Luke befriended my brother if he's like 2 years older than you, and how did you do it in such a short time."

             "Ok first of all, these were 2 questions." ,he stated, and I just shrugged my shoulders grinning. "Just answer and stop whining.", I urged him even though I broke the rules of the game. He sighed defeated before going on with his explanation. "I see you're a stubborn one. Ok then. So I don't really have a great story, it's just the fact that me, Mike and Luke were already one of the 'popular' ones, Chris became friends with Al at first, and because Mike and Al knew each other for a long time, we started hanging out together. It's a little complicated but the thing that matters is the fact that your brother fit from the beginning.", he explained. I understood that, after all Chris was a very sociable and kind person and everyone loved him. I nodded as to signal him that I got what he said, even though in my mind an alarm sound started to ring. It was like something didn't fit, something was strange. Reassuring myself it was once again only my imagination, I turned my attention back towards Eidan. "My turn then. This will sound stupid but I wanted to ask you how comes that you're not like the other girls?", he asked me playing with his fingers obviously uncomfortable with asking me that question. "Like the other girls how? Snobby and annoying, always talking about makeup and clothes and sleeping with whatever boys comes into their way?", I asked describing the typical example of popular girl from our school. He nodded, finally looking at me in the eyes. "Let me think...I just hate that kind of girls. Thinking they are better than the others only because their parents treat them like princesses. That type of girls need to open their eyes and see that they look like clowns with the whole barrow of makeup on their faces!", I exclaimed standing up, revolted about these girls behavior, forgetting that Eidan was watching me. Reality struck me and I suddenly sat back down on the couch, feeling the heat going up to my cheeks. Damn you blush! I heard Ed laughing and my face just reddened more. "Vicky, you are totally something else!", he exclaimed making me laugh as well.

            We continued to ask each other different things and to laugh like there was no tomorrow till we heard the front door open and several footsteps heading in the direction of the living room.

A/N: Ok, so it took me some time once again to update and I'm sorry for making you wait...Anyway, up until now I just want to thank all of you that are reading this silly story. Oh and I want to tell you something: I don't know if you find it annoying or confusing...the conversations Victoria has with herself...but I find them amusing and it's just that I feel like every person had at least one of this kind of conversations with themselves.
