August POV / 2 week later

It's been exactly 2 weeks I think since Ronnie tried to set me up with ole shawty , I graduate tomorrow I'm kinda excited and I have Carol to thank for that she even made arrangements for me to graduate with Ronnie high school graduating class . I wish my mama and Mel was here to see me walk across the stage but I know Mel proud of me and that's all I have to worry about " so you ready for tomorrow ?" Ronnie asks me while playing GTA San Andreas . So me and Ronnie became closer almost to the point Id call him my brother but I'm not to fond of that at the moment , I'm almost always over his house we be cooling and stuff he's never been to mine to be honest I'm quite ashamed I barely got furniture still besides a bed one couch and this mini ass tv but at least I got something and  my fridge is fuller now

"hell yeah " I say laying my head back on his couch  that would be one weight off my shoulder then it's college. I've been still saving my money for college even though Carol said she'd pay for it I don't expect her to pay for it all I'm up to $7,000 now . A nigga never had that much money since I was dealing . I applied for UCLA and Duke I didn't get a reply back from neither yet . I doubt I get in they probably don't want niggas like me at their school . " I hope you make it in UCLA with me believe it or not Ill miss yo rude ass " he says chuckling sitting the controller down "oh really na' ?" I ask raising an eyebrow " don't get the wrong idea nigga " he says laughing while walking to the kitchen .

"soooooooo " he said from the kitchen " so what nigga ?" I reply picking up the controller finishing off his game " you know kalani will be graduating with us " he replied I can already sense the smirk on his face he's been trying to set me up with shawty ever since that day at the store shit irritating " Ron man can you like chill fah real Ian gone say the shit no more a nigga don't know her " I spat pausing the game walking to the kitchen "man I told you hit her up and you will " he replied opening a soda can " I don't want to know her I don't need no woman why you so pushy with her anyways " I say rolling my eyes grabbing a soda out the fridge popping it top " cause y'all could be the next Bey and Jay , Kim and Kanye , Will and Jada , Meek and Nicki -" ,"Meek and Nicki date ?" I ask putting the soda down damn I really need to get a phone " dude your like so late but anyways y'all would be cute together and I can tell under all that hard act of yours you have a heart " he said drinking some more of his soda we've literally been through this conversation for the past 2 weeks now .

" it's not an act it's me nigga " I said sitting my can on the counter " whatever dude your talking to her tomorrow at graduation " he replied opening some chips " says who " I ask raising my eyebrow "says me nigga " he says back putting a handful of chips in his mouth how can he eat like that that's nasty as hell "mhmm and you better clean up those chips this time , you not blaming that shit on me when your mom sees it " I replied playfully rolling my eyes I can hear him chuckling as I  walk back in the living room with my can in my hand .

Kalani POV

"How about this dress ?" I ask serenity holding my dress up to the camera finally graduation tomorrow no more of that hell hole " damn how many dresses you got who you trying to impress ?" She says smirking I know she's referring to that August dude Ronnie hangs with "Si stop " I say laying dress #4 on the bed
"Si stop nothing you need a boo man Garrett has been off your case for the last few weeks you should've got dude number that day " she says fumbling around in her room I swear this is literally our topic everyday "Si I don't need anyone right now " I said laying back on the bed I just need time to myself and to find me in not cut out for relationships ."Lani get yourself together you're beautiful inside out  any boy would be luck to have you , I know you've been hurt time after time but you can't let that get you don't I'm not trying to get you into a relationship I'm just trying to get you to have some fun mamas" she replies I understand where she's coming from but I don't think I'm ready for 'fun' besides my parents have been really riding me about college and I haven't even set foot on UCLA campus yet " I know Si I'm just not ready yet ...okay ?" I reply looking down "okay , but at least attempt to talk to that boy tomorrow" She says still pushing the issue "no he's always rude to me and I don't even know what I did to him " I said rolling my eyes lining up my jewelry on the dresser "maybe it isn't you maybe he has stuff going on just like you " said Si . She does make a good point but still that gives him no right to be rude "nah if it was just like mine he'd show some sympathy, how about you hit him up? " I say hanging back up my dresses chuckling a little " Girl I have Chris but whatever you say kalani." She replies playfully rolling her eyes this girl .
