"It's crazy how easy it is to part ways with someone forever, so when you meet someone important, someone you wanna keep around, you do something about it."

-Ted Mosby

A dialogue from one of my favourite sitcoms, and I can't help but feel bad about the fact that I have been there on both ends, meeting someone you wanna keep around, but they let you go, and vice versa. You could be a part of someone's daily routine, from the time they wake up in the morning and turn sides twice to the time they fall asleep while you watch them be, they would know how many cabinets you want in your dream walk-in wardrobe, and you would talk about having elephants, learning horse riding or keeping a cow in a city. Nothing in the world seems bizarre anymore because it's you and him plus anything, You dream like you used to before but now every time you dream about the same damn thing, you look to your right and suddenly they are there, something that you've been dreaming about since you were 12, now you're okay sharing that with someone, okay? No, not just OK- every part of you wants them there, you tell them about the times you lose, but what always excited me more was to call him when I won, and to be on the other end too. You're in love with the mindset, the craze, the perspective, the clarity of thought, and everything that they bring to the table, which before might be abstruse to you, but now there is nothing more you would want than to sit on that table. And before you know it, he already has a chair for you.

Then one day, it gets hard for you to sit there anymore, you suffocate, the place where once everything fall so perfectly and you both fit in like it was always meant to be, the same place makes you feel like you're not wanted there or you're just not the right fit, there is no sense of belonging anymore and you thought the only thing that could possibly make you feel better was, if they invited you like they did before but it hits different when you acknowledge the fact you could only breathe the day you go and see that chair isn't there anymore.
