(Eric's Intro)
Harry S Truman believed a person's actions are the seed of Fate and deeds grow into Destiny & Napoleon Bonaparte considered that there are no such things as accidents, it is simply fate misnamed.
Although both of these men may have been talking about two different topics (stemming from different moments that led to the beginning of these important bits of advice) that are inadvertently relating to each other, I can't help but think that they had Y/n in mind.(Eric's Pov)
Y/n was right, these cloths fit perfectly.
I almost exited before looking at my reflection in the mirror and thought how I must have looked to Y/n.
So I quickly adjust my hair to my liking, and splash water on my face, then I checked my reflection in the mirror before going out to see Y/n again.
Once I felt satisfied that I looked my best, I nodded to myself before smelling something delicious while I gathered my old uniform.
'Perfect,
(I closed my eyes and took a deep breath and smiled when I recognized the scent, it was vanilla extract; Y/n was making French toast.)
Oh that smells incredible'.I exited and followed the noise of machinery (an egg beater and mixer), and found the incredible woman that saved me, from nearly drowning after my ship sank in the sudden storm, in her kitchen; which is beautiful.
Perfect for the house decor, shabby beach chic.
Unaware that I arrived in the doorway, I know, creepy, but I didn't want to break her focus, the look made her appear more beautiful and cute at the same time.
I set my old clothes in a basket near the washer and dryer and leaned against the door frame, smiling at her.
Groucho Marx said Man does not control his own fate, the women in his life do that for him.
Could this brave, beautiful, intelligent, confidant, artist and clever woman be the one that destiny has chosen to be my fate?
Then, there was a sound, a cat meowing, broke me out of my daze and I looked to the window, that gave a beautiful view of, well I guess you can say it was more of a private beach rather than a backyard, to see and black and white short haired Tabby, with a sunflower collars and gold eyes, with specks of green and, blue?; pawing at the window.Y/n looked up and turned to face the window, make sure she was in a good place to stop and not make mess while smiling.
Y/n then went over to the window as she was saying.
"Malice! There you are, you had me worried sick.
(Y/n then waved her finger, scolding the Tabby, who also appeared to be listening.)
Never run past me again, do you hear me Malice L/n?
(Malice surprised me by nodded and Y/n toke a relaxing breath before unlocking the window latch to let Malice in.)
You don't look like you've been caught in the storm last night, thank Poseidon for small miracles".Once the window was opened Malice came in, purring and chuffing as she jumped onto the counter.
Y/n then asked the feline, who was getting ready to jump down to the floor.
"Would you like some cream with your breakfast Miss Malice"?
Malice sat by Y/n feet and meowed, lifting a paw to tap at Y/n's calf before N/n moved to walk to the fridge.
'What a unique feline'.Y/n looked up and said, noticing I was in the door way, smiling brightly.
"Hey Eric, looking sharp, how are the clothes fitting"?
I nodded and said, taking a couple of steps into the kitchen, spinning around to show Y/n how the clothes fit before Malice began walking towards me.
"They fit perfect, like a glove".
When Malice stopped in front of me, I didn't dare move because of the way she was staring at me, like she was judging me, scrutinizing me all, and sizing me up at the same time.
'Can a cats eyes even narrow like a persons?
Because Malice looks like she's silently telling me I didn't belong in her person's kitchen'.
Y/n looked down and lightly laughed to herself as she said to me.
"Don't worry about Malice, she's harmless and friendly as a Labrador.
Her previous owner declawed her years before she asked if I would like to take her in before I moved here.
Shelby couldn't take Malice with her to where she was being stationed".
