the title was deliberate

"Daddy, can we take that seat?"

My eyes swerved away from the buzz out of the window to the cutest bundle of joy. She had her blonde hair down and wavy, dressed in a simple white shirt, some blue jeans and converse.

"Sure" her dad said, and my heart swelled since they were wearing matching outfits (only that he had his leather jacket on & was holding hers). He looked extremely young, my age even.

She climbed up on the seat, excitedly looking out of the window of the train. One by one, she captivated everybody in the carriage with her giggles.

"Look, Daddy! Loooook!" She squished her father's cheeks with her hands, causing a few people to giggle.

"I-I'm trying" he smiled to her and peered out of the window. We were passing a field with some horses, some of which were just running for the fun of it.

The girl soon settled and she remained sitting on her dad's lap, looking out.

I tried to question if they weren't actually related, but they look identical. And she called him daddy, twice.

He sure is some daddy material-

"We are now approaching 5th Avenue" the usual voice rang across the carriage and I grabbed my bag from beside me, directing myself to the door like the father & daughter from earlier.

Little did I know we were going to the same place, a diddy hidden coffee shop that made divine brownies and the best lattes I had ever had. It was a little getaway for me, and I always went to the little table for two at the corner, right next to the bookcase.

"What would you like, my love?" The guy picked up his daughter. She thought long and hard, and he smiled at her, placing a kiss on her forehead.

"The brownies and the mango juice" she said reluctantly, but then cracked out the smile of a lifetime. Even I, who was directly behind them, smiled too.

Whilst they ordered, I sent a few messages to Freya, until I heard a conversation.

"Ugh, do you accept cards?" The father asked.

"No, sorry sir"

He sighed. "I don't know any near ATMs-"

"Can I chip in?" I shuffled forward. "I mean- I will chip in. Leave the amount he needs to pay on me"

"That is so nice but you really don't have to" the guy smiled politely, his daughter looking at my hair which happened to be arranged in a similar braid to Elsa's.

"I insist; you two are adorable together" I handed the barista money. "Also, can you add my usual to it? Thanks"

"Are you here by yourself?"

I nodded, and he gave me his free hand. "I'm Ross"

"And I'm Summer!" His daughter piped up.

I chuckled. "It's nice to meet you both, Ross & Summer. I'm Cameron"
