A howl was heard from outside my window, almost cracking it. My eyes widened and I ran to the window that was shielded by black curtains. When I literally ripped them open, the sunlight felt blinding and when I opened the window, the cool breeze felt good. I felt my wolf purr and the growing feeling inside me started to rise, hungry for the outdoors. It's like it's been years since I last stepped foot on the hard ground and mossy wet grass.
My eyes connected with a large brown wolf that sat on the ground staring up at me. I saw the message in his eyes that said 'Hurry up.' Oh right; I thought, i've probably been up here for at least ten minutes. Yeah, I just couldn't find my brush.
I headed down the stairs and found the front door in seconds. I was kind of getting the hang of finding things myself now, I don't even need assistance anymore. Though, I could just use my wolf senses to take me places, but I wanted to know all on my own, without the extra senses.
The brown wolf still sat there and his big head snapped towards my figure, he nodded, insuring me it was time to take off. I sighed in relief when I let my wolf out. It felt unbelievably good when my bones cracked and muscles stretched. The cool wind ran through my fur and I felt free. The brown wolf took off and I followed. I had no idea where we were going and if he happened to stop I would crash into him, so I ran about a couple feet away.
The run was also a relief to me, but more for my wolf. She's been dying for a run, but with the past events that happened this week disabled me from doing so. Plus, I don't think Max would let me run too far since I knew nothing of this territory. I mean, what if I ran into someone elses territory, they surely wouldn't be as nice as Max was!
I shook my head of the thoughts that clamored inside it. I just focused on running for the next few minutes before we came to a complete halt. Glancing around at my surroundings, I noticed that the whole pack was here, all in one circle. In the middle of the huge circle sat the largest wolf here, who was black. Max's hair was black so I’m guessing that was him. Next to Max was a wolf that was a little shorter than him, and his fur was a light brown color. Adam?
Both the light brown and black wolf made eye contact with mine and nodded for me to come over. I slowly trotted towards them, everyone's stares burning into me. When I finally faced them from about a foot away, Max came over and pushed my head down, was he trying to get me to bow? I did just that and he gave a grin, meaning I was doing the right thing. Then after a few minutes after staring at everyone, probably waiting for any objections, but no one dared to step up, Max bent down and bit my neck. It wasn't a mate marking, but the pack one. He licked the bite mark after he was done soon I heard a bunch of voices inside my head.
You okay Mari? - Max's voice drifted into my head and I looked up at him, giving a nod.
Good because now is the real ceremony. He replied before standing high and mighty like the Alpha he was.
Gentlemen, members of the pack, Do you accept Marielle as a pack member and promise to always, no matter what, be loyal and to protect her at any costs? Max's voice boomed, and I watched how all members nodded and replied, Yes, Alpha.
And do you, Marielle, promise to be loyal and protect your pack at all costs, including me? To be respectful and always listen to the alpha's orders?
