Madi's POV
"Madi, what did I say about getting into fights!?" Marisol scolded. Yep! I was currently in the school nurses office getting yelled at for getting injured.
"But it wasn't my fault! Renge-chan could've gotten injured so I had to step in! And anyways if you would have allowed coffee this morning I would have won the fight. You know I can't fight tired!" I whined. I hobbled over to takashi. I'm in to much pain to argue anymore.
"You know what I give up." Marisol sighs and walks out of the room.
"Madi-Chan you know she's right! What if no one was there to save you! Do you think you could take them on by yourself!" Honey scolded me. I started to get teary eyed. I didn't know what else to do I couldn't just let them hit Renge-chan.
"I-im going home." I said with no emotion and walked out of the room. What did I do wrong? Its not my fault no one came in time. I tried my hardest. And why are they being so sexist! I can fight just as well as honey and takashi!
I walked until I reached the limo. Marisol was already in the front with the black glass up so I was alone in the back. Are they really ignoring me because of the fight!
When we reached the house I ran up to my room and locked the door. Flashbacks started playing in my head.
"Stop trying to protect others you can't even protect yourself!" My mother scolded.
"Yes I can! And I had to they were going to hurt her!" I yelled.
"Oh my God! Madi how many times have we told you! Stand up to your own bullies not someone else's!" She replied.
"I do! I do stand up to my own bullies but they won't leave me alone!"
"Thats because your a freak! You act like a child! You look younger than you're supposed to and you're small but you have the strength of ten men!"
"You know what you're a bully just like them! You and dad aren't even here so what do you expect? I have to have strength to protect myself! I can't even believe I call you my parents! You're just like grandfather-!" I was cut off when she slapped me.
"You insolent child! Don't ever compare me to your grandfather! Grow up and stop acting like a child and then maybe someone will actually like you!" She walked away.
That's a memory that even Marisol doesn't know about. The time where I vowed to never change who I was so I could prove to my mother that people liked me for me. But I still haven't been able to prove her wrong.
I give up! If mom and everyone else want me to change then so be it!
--le sigh with a skip to morning--
I wake up by myself and put on my normal attire except I put my hair in a ponytail and slipped on my glasses.
"Okay madi remember, no emotion, be mature, never get a question wrong, and ignore the people who doubted you." I reminded myself. I know I'm probably taking this to far but if they want mature I'll give them mature.
I walked down the stairs elegantly, exactly how mother taught me, instead of sliding down the rail. Marisol greeted me with an apology.
"Madi, dear, I'm sorry for getting so upset yesterday." She put her hand on my shoulder.
"Oh it's fine. You had a logical reason to be upset. It was an exasperating scene." I replied with no emotion and started to eat breakfast. I looked to see Marisol frozen. "Are you not going to join me?" I asked and pointed to the seat beside me.
