The song is "Super Psycho Love" by Simon Curtis. 'Cause I like it. So boom.

By the way... THERE IS GONNA BE A DOUBLE UPDATE.

;)

Maybe in an hour or so.

THE BOMB HAS BEEN DROPPED.

Chapter Thirty-Four

The next day, in the afternoon, I received a call from Father Kieran. He had said that the faction wanted to meet with us, more specifically, Klaus, Marcel, and myself. They wanted to make sure that we understood how things worked, in terms of the locals and specific rules that applied to them.

First, however, Klaus and Marcel wanted to go and get Davina. They wanted to bring her into the compound. I, however, wasn't convinced that it was best for her. So I agreed, but on the condition that I could spell her room. Once I did, she would be able to invite whoever she pleased, and any vampire that she didn't welcome wouldn't be able to step inside. Basically, it would be just like a house.

I decided that I would go with the two of them. If Klaus was going to make any more idiotic orders, like he did with the wolves, then I would know about it.

Marcel and Klaus informed Davina about her new location, while I stayed downstairs. Kieran barely even noticed when I was suddenly sitting on the steps at the front of the church, smirking at the humans sitting on the pews.

"Roseia," Kieran said, seeming pleasantly surprised to see me there. "You came."

I smiled at him, nodding once. "Of course, Father Kieran," I looked over at the other humans, smirking again. "I wouldn't miss it for the world."

A minute or so later, Klaus and Marcel came downstairs.

"Klaus," Kieran said, walking over to them. "Marcel, thank you for coming. Now, we are aware of the change in leadership in your community, and we thought it was time to make the appropriate introductions."

Two of the men stood up. From the way they dressed, I was pretty sure that one of them was the mayor, and the other was the police chief.

"We want to be sure you understand how things work around here," the mayor said.

I narrowed my eyes at him, standing up and moving to stand between Klaus and Kieran.

"Is that so?" Klaus said, an amused smile coming onto his face.

Kieran seemed bothered by the way that the mayor spoke to Klaus. "What the mayor means is that we just want some assurance that this new development isn't going to endanger our city or it's inhabitants."

I liked Kieran. He was definitely the mature one of the group. He had almost immediately taken a liking to me when he heard of how I reacted to Sean's death, and the way that I nearly murdered Agnes in this very church. We had an understanding, a friendship, if you will.

"Look, you, freaks," the police chief started. "do your thing, and we'll look the other way. As long as our pockets stay full, we won't have a problem."

"Keep in mind that these... 'freaks', as you call us, can suck you dry within moments," I growled out.

He glared at me, and Klaus smirked from beside me, while Kieran continued.

"MORE importantly, there are rules. No feeding on the locals, don't bring any unwanted attention to the city. Now, history has proven that we can coexist peacefully. However, if you cross the line-"
