It felt so odd to have a man like Ian sitting in my livingroom as nurses and a doctor came in the house and gave me a small check up. It was odd glancing over to see his eyes darken when the doctor lightly pressed his cool fingers under my throat and take my chin between his fingers. But I couldn't bare to look at him. His eyes would peer into my own and I would be taken aback from the emotion that swirled in them.

"..and that should be all is there any questions?" The doctor asked politely.

"So she's fine?" My mother asked and rubbed comforting circles in my back.

The doctor nodded and gave a reassuring smile to us all. "Just slight bruising to the throat that should clear up in at least a week and a half."

"Thank you for stopping by, Johnson." Ian said and shook the doctors hand in a firm grip.

"Not at all my boy. No need to send money now, put that cheekbook away." The doctor sighed and shook his head.

"Of course it will be-"

"I believe I can pay for my own check up, Mr. Fredericks." I said under my eyelashes. "It would be a shame to have to waste that money on me."

"Nonsense. " He glowered at me with disapproval and turned to the man. "I believe I can handle this just fine. The money will be sent to you through the system."

I slumped my shoulders and felt my mother rub soothing circles into my shoulder. She murmured words of support in my ear but I couldn't hear her. The things I wanted to do to that man right now were both painful and childish. I wanted to yell at him, how dare he come into my home uninvited and not give me a warning about it? How dare he look at me with those beautiful eyes like I were a fragile thing that needs to be handled with care.

The doctor said another goodbye and swept out the room with his assistant trailing off behind him . He gave me a curious look and went into the livingroom. I didn't realize I was holding my breath until the front door slammed shut and a sound of a car faded away. We were left alone and I didn't know how I felt about this.

"Now, youngman, I appreciate what you have done for my daughter but I would-"

"Mother." I rolled my eyes." I'm not a child. "

"Oh huff! For the love of god, Camari you never let me treat you like one anyways."

Ian watched us both with amusement and leaned up against the purple painted wall of my bedroom. I watched as his muscles flexed deliciously under his button up shirt as he crossed his arms.  His lips were pressed tightly together and he gave me a wink as my mother pulled me along into the closet.

"What are you doing?" I hissed as she shut the door behind us.

"Do you know who that man is?" My mother said in a whisper and rushed to find something  on the hangers.

" Yes mom." I sighed. "A nuisance of a person."

"That is the CEO of the Fredericks Company!" My mother almost shouted." This is a great catch! A man! A man that you could marry and give me granbabies with! "

"Mother!"

"Now look here Camari." My mother sighed."You will have forever to gain that beach body you work so hard on, for now.. lets get to it."

She shredded my clothes off my body and found a tight black dress that had long sleeves and stopped at my knees. I watched in horror as she pinned my hair up in a messy bun and gave me my louboutins. She patted my hand and before she could rub a deep red Sisley on my lips I stumble out of the closet and into warm arms.

Heat crept it's way into my cheeks and I couldn't help but shiver as his hands brushed at my hips and up the curves of my waist and on my shoulders. It was like the first time, the sparks that ignited between us, the heat, the intensity , the lust. It was the same but blazed with something more, something serious.

He gently tugged me around and sucked in a sharp breath. His eyes lingered from my heels to the dress and rested on my flushed face. His eyes settled on my own and my knees began to shake slightly.

"There is  a reason I am here." He murmured into my hair as he leaned closer and settled his hands on my waist.

"Why is that?" I managed to say with a ease.

He leaned his head down to the crook of my neck and traced the tip of his nose on my skin. I shivered as his warm breath fanned against my cool skin but I still didn't move.

"I wanted something.." He murmured with his soft lips brushing against my skin as he spoke.

"And?" My voice broke slightly

"Your.."

Yes!

"..company." He finished

I recoiled and stumbled out of his arms. I glared at him and crossed my arms. "Get. Out."

He smiled and grabbed his coat. "You have my card. I still expect to see you soon."

I walked him out through the bedroom, the hallway, past the restroom, out the livingroom and on the porch. He turned around leaned against my door with a smile plastered on his face. I ignored the obvious paparazzi van and glared at Ian with as much venom I could muster up.

"Not very thankful." He snickered.

"Goodbye I-"

"Mr. Fredericks! Mr. Fredericks! Are you dating Miss-"

I slammed my door shut and didn't even bother to see if he made it to his car.
