One caffeine-buzz filled night later, we still had nothing. It took an entire night of searching the Internet, and we still had nothing! Online newspaper articles, red strings and push pins, crumb filled plastic bowls, not to mention neon colored highlighters littered the floor of Stiles' room. Empty chip bags and coffee mugs were spread galore.

"Guys!" A man's deep voice boomed and awoke me from my sleep. I startled awake and fell off the bed, landing on the ground with a groan. Ugh, where was I? Stiles room, right. Sherriff Stilinski looked at the boys and me with risen brows. "I've got to get to work. You three, get to school."

"Wai—dad!" Stiles yelled nervously. "Heather?" Heather? Oh right, Stiles childhood friend who disappeared at her own birthday party I attended. They still hadn't found her and Stiles was going nuts.

"Nothin' yet." Sherriff Stilinski sighed and walked out of the room.

"Ten hours and nothing!" Stiles complained. I stood up from the floor and stretched my aching back.

"Well that was certainly a wake up call." I ran a hand through my messy hair....was that a paper clip?

"We'll find something." Scott said optimistically.

"Finding something doesn't make Erica and less dead or Boyd and less about to be dead." I groaned.

"We still have time." Scott disagreed. Okay, I hated happy people in the morning. He was ruining my negativity vibe.

"What? Is this whole remaining optimistic even in complete and utter disaster part of your little be a better Scott McCall program?" I asked.

"Not if it doesn't work." Scott looked like a puppy. How could I be mean to that?

"It works." I sighed. "You know I hate happy in the morning."

"I know." Scott nodded. I noticed Stiles looking at a piece of paper.

"Ooh...dad! Dad!" Stiles yelled and threw the paper at Scott. "Dad!" Stiles ran out of the room after his father.

I dramatically pushed open the heavy, metal front door to Derek's loft after a long day of school later that day. He froze and stared at me. He looked as if he was just finishing getting changed.
