"i'm not scared of getting my heart broken, but i'm terrified of being the cause of someones pain."

**

It had been a five days since the incident with Harry and it still consumed my thoughts. Part of me couldn't help but think what if it wasn't him?

After he had left the hospital Dani had attempted to tell me that he looked as if he truly cared but I dismissed the idea immediately. I needed to forget about him. I'd only known him for around three weeks so how much of an impact could he have actually had on me?

Answer; a lot. As much as I constantly denied it, something about him had captivated me and all I could see was his deep jade eyes burning into mine

"Chloe?" Rita waved her hand in front of my eyes, "You okay?"

"Yeah sorry, I just zoned out," I muttered.

"You've been doing that a lot over the past few days," She smiled, "What's up?"

"Just a lot on my mind, it's nothing to worry about though,"

"Babe, just tell me. I can't have you zoning out, especially two days before the knockouts."

"Do we have enough time?" I questioned.

"Of course, now tell."

"Well, basically it's about Harry,"

"I knew it!" She grinned at me, "What happened?"

"You know how I collapsed at the club?" She nodded in response, "Well the doctor told me that they had found traces of sleeping pills in my tests and the only thing I ate or drank all night was some water Harry had got for me and-"

"Wait, hold up!" She cut me off, "Someone practically drugged you and the only way they could've got to you was through your drink?" I nodded.

"At the time I didn't think anything of it, but when I went to find Harry in the morning he was talking to Sian-"

"Sian? As in the Sian on my team?"

Shit, I forgot Rita was her coach.

"Yeah, well, um-"

"Chloe, you can tell me." The sympathy was clear in her eyes.

"Okay so, Sian and I used to be good friends then one day she just, I don't know, shut herself off?" Rita nodded, "And from then on she's ignored me, but then she turned up for auditions and my friends were convinced it was in an attempt to throw me off," I spluttered, "Ever since she got onto your team she has made random remarks that have thrown my confidence, then at the club I went to the bathroom and heard her speaking on the phone to someone about them 'doing their job' and she was talking about a 'her' and I couldn't help but think that she was talking about me. Then she was the the hospital with Harry and it just added up in my mind at the time," I finished, taking a deep breath.

"Oh my-," Rita looked shocked, "I'm sorry I had no idea any of this was going on. You should have told me, love."

"I'm s-"

"It's fine, I know now at least," She paused, "So; to me, I agree that Sian does appear as the main person behind this and it also seems she has someone else who is doing her 'dirty work' for her. To be honest that's really fucked up, and I know that you think that the person is Harry, and to be honest if I was in your position I would think the same, but that being said, I know Harry and he would honestly never do that to anyone. I know at times it may not seem like it, but he truly does have a heart of gold and he means well. The way he talked about you to Simon well, I don't know how to describe it other than I know that he really does care about you. Another thing is, Sian is likely to be jealous of you. She is also likely to be jealous of the fact that you know Harry and to me it appears that she might have used that against you to almost make you turn on him?" She muttered,
