MIA

"Are you out yet?" Isla asked.

"Depends what you think out is," I replied, trying to carry a conversation and memorize French verbs at the same time.

"Who are you out to?" She rephrased.

"My mom, not my dad, my grandparents on my mom's side, a few people at my old school, and this school," I answered.

"Not your dad?" She asked.

"My parents are divorced," I replied. "They divorced when I was three. I only see my dad once and a while and whenever my grandparents come over." I gave a bitter laugh. "They pretend like they're still married when my grandparents come over. My grandparents don't believe in divorce."

"That must suck," she said.

"It's whatever," I said. "How about you?"

"Well I came out right before school ended and break started," she said. "To the entire school. I just kind of hijacked the PA system and said 'My fellow students I, Isla Hawthorne, like girls and girls only, deal with it.'" She laughed. "I got a few phone numbers, never called them but I still got them. The whole school sort of hates me."

She shrugged. "It's not like I give a damn."

"Mademoiselles Hawthorne et Grant parle français s'il vous plaît," said the French teacher, Madam Nolan, telling us to speak in French.

"Oui Madam Nolan," Isla said for the both of us. They had a conversation in rapid French.

I looked at Isla with wide eyes. She shrugged, "I'm half French. The other half is British. Where are you from?"

"Um my dad's Italian and my mom's part Spanish part Chinese," I said. "Don't ask."

"So you're Italian, Spanish and Chinese?" She asked. "Do you speak any languages?"

"Mandarin, some Spanish, very little Italian," I replied. "So Will is your brother? Is he younger?"

"We're twins," she replied. "He's the oldest in the family, then there's my two little sisters that are twins as well and my brother, who is a freshman this year."

"I wish I had siblings, I'm an only child," I sighed.

She laughed. "Trust me you don't want siblings."

"Yes I do!" I argued. "All the attention is on me, sometimes I just want to be left alone."

"I'll give you my siblings if you want," she replied. "Free of charge."

I laughed.

"Shipping included," she continued. "Just please take them."

"Mademoiselle Hawthorne!"

"Je suis désolé Il ne se reproduira pas," Isla responded. (I'm sorry it will not happen again)

"Vous mieux espérez ainsi." (You better hope so)

The teacher turned away and I laughed into my hand.

A/N:

As you can see I didn't die. If you have no idea what I'm talking about start reading my other book Fire With Fire.

Yeah so my day was fun.

Hope you enjoyed this chapter. This first chapter was like 1000 words so chapter will be short like this.(400 words). Most chapter will be less than 300- 600 words. And I know that's
kinda short (and very broad)  but it is a short story after all.

The picture to the side or up at the top is of Kelsey Chow which is what I imagine Mia to look like if you imagine something else. Well too bad she looks like Kelsey Chow.

Have a great morning, evening, afternoon, night whatever it is where you are.

MWAH. LUV YA. BUH-BYE.

EDIT: Something told me to look at story details it said my story was in Spanish....

How long has this been going on?
