21 | Still a Ninja

It was practically a perfect morning if Alec, Matthew and Charles hadn't come barging in on Nate and me sleeping. They've decided that our faces were the epitome of canvases and literally drew on our skin with permanent marker.

So it went like this, I woke up because of a weird sensation on my face and the sound of hushed laughing. I hugged Nate even closer and the laughs got louder so I opened my eyes and saw the three boys staring at me with a camera directed to my face. I shrieked and all of them jumped.

"What the hell are you guys doing?!" I shouted.

Nate who just woke up to the sound of my scream tumbled on the floor with a groan.

"What's happening?" he asked as he rubbed his eyes which only made the three boys laugh even harder and take a picture of him. When I glanced at his face, I saw "Natey Boy loves Winter" on his forehead and lots and lots of flowers were all over his face. I couldn't help but laugh at his marker-drawn face.

"It's funny huh?" Matthew asked me.

"Yep. That's worth the wake up," I said as I laughed even more.

The three boys looked at each other and laughed.

"Since it's so funny, then you should be glad because you've got some on your face as well," Alec said and winked at me.

"What?!" I said, surprised.

I grabbed a mirror from my bedside table and when I saw my face, I grabbed the handle so tight that it might break.

"YOU!" I hissed at them.

"Uh oh," Charles said with wide eyes and ran.

I ran after them screaming "Beastmode!". It even looked like they were going to pee their pants because they looked so scared. I chased them through the hallways, occasionally bumping to one of the staff looking rather surprised.

Alec was laughing loudly as the three of them rounded the corner.

"I'm going to kill all three of you!" I screamed.

I heard Alec laugh even more as I just turned left as well.

"Three blind mice," Matthew sang.

"See how they run!" Alec continued.

"See how they run!" Charles shouted.

The three of them were running down the stairs but I knew a better way. After all, I did live here and as a kid, I loved everything spontaneous. So, I sat on the rail of the stairs and slid down, quickly catching up to them. I could feel the adrenaline inside me as I jumped towards the three of them. We all landed at the bottom of the stairs but must I say, I came down unharmed.

"Woohoo!" I shouted. "See, told you I'd kill all of you."

"Yep, you just killed us with all your fat," Alec said as he tried to get up but failed miserably.

I laughed at the three of them as they lay flat on the floor.

"What's going on?" Lewis asked as he rubbed his eyes.

"Oh you know, the usual--your sister used her karate skills to combat evil," I said proudly.

"You don't do karate," Lewis said.

"Nevertheless, I'm still a ninja," I said and sat on one of the steps of the stairs.

"What's on you face?" Harry asked.

I rolled my eyes and looked at him. "Probably best if you read it yourself. I didn't quite memorize it."

Harry and Lewis ran down the stairs to look at the "masterpiece" the three idiots drew on my face.

My brothers read the writing and the both of them laughed so hard.

"You guys are awesome!" Lewis said to the three guys who were still lying on the floor.

"We should be, we just got butt-kicked by your sister," Alec said as he lifted his face from the floor.

I looked at the three of them and I actually felt a bit bad but then, considering that they woke me up with drawings on my face, they deserved it all. I probably looked like a drowned rat or a dead chicken but I really just felt too awesome to grab a brush and brush my hair.

"What time is it anyway?" I asked my brothers.

"Uh, last I checked it's already half past eight," Harry answered.

I slumped thinking how much more sleep I could have gotten.

"This shit won't come off," Nate said as he descended the stairs, clearly looking annoyed.

"Well, it's permanent marker so it's supposed to be that way," Matthew said. The three of them were now lying on their backs but all still looked like they broke a few bones.

"You guys are so immature," Nate said as he glared at them.

"Says the one who was smooching his girlfriend under the rain," Alec said.

"Whatever," Nate replied rolling his eyes at Alec.

"Well if you're annoyed then just look at your girlfriend's face," Charles said.

Nate approached me and read the words on my face. "I am Nate Brooks' cute sexy princess."

Nate looked at me with a smirk on his face.

"Damn right you are," Nate said. "Are you sure you did not write this and just blamed them?"

"Shut up," I said.

"What are you three boys doing on the floor?" my mother asked, her heels clicking as she walked.

The three idiots stood up quickly and smiled at my mom.

"We were just resting Your Highness," Charles said.

"It's Aunt Beatrice to you," my mom said with a smile then redirected her vision towards me and Nate. "You two should get ready. We'll be out and about today because we will be going to the tailor to have your engagement party clothes designed and fitted."

My eyes widened and I was literally screaming inside. "What?"

Random note: I really wish my country had Winter (the season not the character in this book). It would be fun to just be in bed all cozy with a movie playing. And with an autumn candle burnin! Do you guys get my dilemma? Is it just me? Alright... :(

Yep.... yep... What's gonna happen to the engagement thingy? If you knew my plans you'd probably kill me but... yah! SPOILER ALERT  (to those who even take time to read this bec we all know how legit lazy we get and our eyes just avoid the note) HAHHAHA GOODBYE.
