I'm laying in bed in Dj's guest room. That scene keeps replaying in my head. Damn my uncle is gone. I sat up and crossed my legs Indian style. Dj knocked on the door.
Lexi: Come in
Dj: How you feelin
He sat down in a chair next the bed
Lexi: I can't believe he did that, it was so selfish of him Dj and auntie she is so heart broken imagine the love of your life killing themselves and there was nothing you could do about it

I turned to him

Dj: I know Lexi
He rolled his eyes and sat back
Lexi: I'm just sayin all the drama and bullshit the heart ache... mama
Dj: Really
Lexi: Yes really nigga don't get me wrong I love my bestfriend she'll be great for you but... y'all want me to be all happy n shit like you wasn't for me
He sighed
Dj: Ion kno how to explain it
Lexi: I'm happy for y'all tho so right stress it big bro
Dj: Ive always had some feelins for her

He sucked his teeth

I laughed, my phone starts to ring I reach for it off the night stand

I answered and Ti walked in the room with Elise on her hip

Tati sat on the edge of the bed and Elise crawled next to me and laid down

He peeked inside
Lexi: Standing outside my room... Hey Rock
He smiled and waved
Tati: Hey August
August: Wassam where Dj
Lexi: He said hey and Dj is right here
He pulled the phone out my hand
Dj: Aye Yung what you wanna do bout this nigxa
I snatched my phone
Tati: Y'all ain't doin shit
She continued to cuss his ass out while I did the same thing to August
Lexi: You have a career
August: I ain't hearin that shit man
Lexi: You have a family August you can't...
August: Right I gotta protect mine
Lexi: And what if you can't come home to yo unborn child
Dj and Tati stopped arguing and looked at me

Lexi: I'm pregnant August

I smiled

August: I can't wait to get to you
I looked over at Elise, her foot was pressed against me but she was hot as hell I felt her forehead

We hung up

Dj reached across me and checked her
Dj: Let me get a thermometer
He walked out the room, Tati went to grab her

Elise started fusin, Dj came in the room and checked her temperature. The door bell rung

He walked downstairs, the thermometer beeped
Dj: Its 102°
Tati: Get the Tylenol
He left out
Lexi: Take her clothes off to see if she will cool off
Me and Tati took off her shirt and pants. She crawled in Ti arms and hid her face
Rock: There is a Amber at the door
Tati: Ughhh grab her I'll deal with this
Dj stopped her at the door, handed her the Tylenol and turned around
Dj: I go it
Tati rolled her eyes but she fed Elise the medicine and we waited. Ten minutes later Elise was sleep so I laid her down.
Tati: He been down there for a minute
Lexi: Lets go see what they talkin bout
We got up and walked to the top of the stairs
Amber: Dj I just wanna see her and hold her that's all
Dj: Why now
She paused trying to fight her tears but couldn't
Amber: For some dumb ass reason I can't have anymore kids it puts me at risk
Dj: Damn Amber
He put his hand on her shoulder which turned into a tight embrace
Tati: Ok
She said while we walked downstairs with her arms folded im sure they saw the attitude in her facial expression and released each other.
Amber: I didn't come here to start trouble I promise just let me see her
Lexi: First where is your brother
She looked at me confused.
Amber: Chris...
Tati: Yea
Amber: I haven't talk to or heard from him in a week... what did he do now
Dj: What you mean now
She sighed
Amber: He's known for having tantrums that's why I was surprised my dad let him run the company
Lexi: Thats beside the point he almost killed me
Amber: What are you ok
Tati: Don't pretend you care
Amber: I do
Lexi: Well he blew up my car... like put a bomb in my car...
Tati: Wait I thought you had ran away from him
Lexi: I did
Dj: So how did he put the bomb in your car and get away
Lexi: Maybe he hid in the bushes
Tati: Ion kno that seem suspect
Dj: Yea it do
Amber: I don't kno what's goin on but can I please see...
Tati: Elise her name is Elise and she's sick
Dj: Ima go check on her
Lexi: I'll go
I went back upstairs, Rock was still standing by the door. I walked in the room, Elise was laid stretched out in the middle of the bed. I checked her forehead and she was cooler than before but was still running somewhat of a fever. I grabbed the thermometer and checked her temp.
Lexi: 97°
I let out a sigh of relief then picked her up. She squirmed around some then wrapped her little arms around my neck and all three of us went downstairs. Amber: Is she ok
Lexi: Her temperature is down she should be fine
I gave Elise to my brother. Dj felt her back then woke her up. Rock's phone started ringing he went outside to answer it
Dj: Wake up baby girl
She groaned and rubbed her eyes. Dj handed her to Amber. I looked around and noticed Tati wasn't in the living room. I walked to the kitchen, she was sittin on the counter
Lexi: You ok
Tati: I'm fine
She said with a slight attitude. I lifted myself up on the counter.
Lexi: 13 years and you act like I don't kno you
Tati: I gotta big mouth
I laughed and she frowned
Lexi: Thats nothin new Ti what's really wrong with you
Tati: Look at them
She pointed at Dj, Amber and Elise.
Lexi: Ok your point
Tati: I never doubted myself with any guy
Lexi: So why start now
Tati: Cuz you can tell he still has feelings for her
Lexi: Ha.. I doubt it look Tatianna my brother loves the hell out of you and even tho I should drag both y'all asses I see how much y'all love each other
She smiled and hugged my neck
Tati: Thanks Alex
I laughed
Lexi: Don't call me that
She started laughing
Tati: Its been a while girl I had too
I playfully rolled my eyes
Lexi: Whatever Rosa
Tati: Ha you're funny don't me like that
Lexi: So you can call my middle name but I can't call yours
She laughed and waved me off
Tati: Girl bye
We laughed, Elise started crying and not just regular she was screaming. We hopped off the counter
Amber: Did I do something wrong

She took her from Dj and they went upstairs
Amber: Is she gonna be ok
Dj: She's sick that's why she screamin
Amber: Thanks for lettin me see her Dj I kno you probably contemplated long and hard about it
Dj: No problem Amber
Amber: And I won't bother y'all again I swear
She pulled her hair back and I noticed a burn on her hand
Lexi: What happen to your hand
She took it down quick
Amber: Accident at work... I gotta go
She damn near ran out the door.
Dj: That wasn't a work burn
Lexi: More like a acid bomb
Dj: You still got the detective number
Lexi: Yea ima call him
He shook his head
Dj: Call him now since y'all don't want us to handle it
I went to grab my phone and dialed his number
Lexi: Hello may I speak to detective Jones
Jones: Speaking
Lexi: I seen someone close to Chris wit that same burn on your hand
Jones: Give me a name
Lexi: Amber Warren
Jones: His step sister
Lexi: How do you kno that
Jones: The Warren movers have been under investigation for some time now... I'll get back with you if we get anything
Lexi: Thanks detective
We hung up and I went upstairs and told Dj, Tati and Rock what he said then Elise started getting fussy again. After we got her to calm down, Dj threw some meat on the grill. I called my auntie
Lisa: Hey baby
She was dry
Lexi: I was calling to check on you and the funeral plans
Lisa: Yea his sister gone come down here to help me with arrangements she should be here tomorrow
Lexi: If you need anything
Lisa: Thank you baby I'll keep y'all updated and I'm so sorry about Chris
Lexi: You don't need to apologize I love you
Lisa: I love you too baby I'll talk to you later
Lexi: Ok auntie
We hung up
Dj: How she sound
Lexi: Like she loss her bestfriend
Tati: The way they were she did
Lexi: I was just tellin Dj I couldn't imagine
He stood behind her and wrapped his arms around her then kissed her cheek
Dj: I couldn't imagine either
Lexi: Aww y'all are the cutest
Ti laughed
Tati: Shut up Lexi
Lexi: Don't get hostile with me
Dj: Both of y'all have issues
Tati: We don't
Lexi: We don't
Rock laughed
Dj: See what me and Yung gotta put up with
Rock: Aye that ain't none of my business
Lexi: Good answer
Tati: I can't believe y'all let her ass walk out the door
Dj: Well y'all didn't want us to handle it
Lexi: I just figure the police will get her
Tati: Lets hope so man
Rock: If I would've known I could've grabbed her while I was out there

Lexi: That bitch ran tho

We laughed and chilled out for the rest of the day.
I've been sitting on this chapter and like two others for a min now, tryin to make sure I got every detail right *fingers crossed* (hopefully I did) because it's about to get dangerous real quick #DropYaComments y'all discuss what y'all think is about to happen and I'll be updating tonight after work
