One Wish

Chapter 5

"Yeah nigga," August chuckled.

I eased away from him as I began processing what was going on.

I stood up and headed to Yasmine as August and the other guy kept up there convo.

"Yas, just answer my question okay? Is August my boyfriend?" I whispered to her

She chuckled, " pfft no. This is the first time you two have met"

I ran my hand down my face.

"Are you alright?" Yasmine asked as she placed the back of her hand on my forehead to see if I had a fever.

"Yeah. I just need to go to the bathroom" I said walking past her and opening the door.

"Uhh T, that's the closet" I heard her call as I looked around and saw everyone's coats hanging in there.

"I knew that," I opened up the door and said before leaving the studio and walking down the hall.

"LOUISE!!" I shouted once I was far enough from the doorway.

"Come on now! I know you hear me somewhere out there!!" I yelled again as I kicked the wall.

A cold but calm wind blew around me.

"Now you know I'm not you're fairy godmother- I can't be at you're every beck and call. And it's Madame Louise by the way" she showed up giving me attitude.

I was seething. "You screwed up my wish"

"Impossible! I've been in this business for way too long to be screwing up simple wishes" she defended herself

"I asked you to make August mine, yet I almost made a fool of myself by kissing him in there because we're not together!!" I continued shouting

"Excuse you, but you're exact words were: I want to be with August Alsina. And that's exactly what I did"

"What?" I listened intently

"Xenie's take words very literal. You said you wanted to be with him and he was at a studio so I simply fit you into his plans- not to mention throwing in some perks by making you a bad ass rapper" she pointed at me

"You take things literally? Jeez, you'd think you'd throw that into the little disclaimer you gave me before huh," I shook my head.

"I'm sorry. You were aggravating my soul, and I just wanted to show you that I was what I said I was," she shrugged in apology.

I sighed loudly not believing the dumb error that occured.

"So I'm a rapper." I stated after a few seconds.

"The hottest female one out there too," Louise informed me

"What's my rap name?" I questioned her

She looked from side to side, " Truth Malone. I'm not very new school and you mighta ended up with Bayou Princess as you're name if I tried to get creative,"

I chuckled softly.

"And I basically just met August who thinks I'm crazy,"

"Listen I'll try to tweak things here and there for you two since It was my fault I forgot to explain the literal wishing thing to you," Louise said

I shook my head still disappointed in my wish's outcome.

"But in the mean time, look at this" she said as she spun her hand around and an iPad formed.

I took a hold of it as my name entered on google. I was surprised to see the many pages that came up. My photos at numerous events popped up.

"Oh my god. I won a Grammy?" I read the titles of articles as I saw the many BET awards and MTV awards I had also gained.

"You're debut album was also #1 on the charts for 7 weeks straight and it went platinum in 3 months," she finished

"You called it Xenie though, " I stale faced her

"Told you I wasn't creative,"

I smirked but shook my head.

"Anyways that was last year. Now you're working on your second album and yes you can rap, just think of something in that sarcastic head of yours and the words will automatically flow- trust me" she explained my new life to me

"Alright. If you say so,"

"I do," she nodded, " now I gotta go"

She said as the wind blew away.

"There you are. Where ya get that ipad?" Yasmine came up to me saying

She gazed down at it. "T, don't do this to yourself. Don't Google all of your accomplishments thinking you can't do even better on this next album,"

"Okay," I went along with Yasmine's pep talk.

"Thank you. I got other things to worry about being your assistant, and you're mental health being on that list would prolly send my ass crazy anyways " she joked.

Ohhh so Yas is my assistant. I thought.
Louise did say she would be a great helper when she read her palm.

"Now let's get back to this studio," she said as I gave her a smile and walked with her. At least I had my same old Yas with me.....

Yeahh they effed up the wish a bit. Lol

And Truth got a whole new life...but what she gonna do about wanting August tho?
