Dream Trance

I sat up, breathing deeply. Pin pricks of fear pinched me. I detangled my legs from the blankets. I tripped falling onto the ground and hurried into the bathroom. I raced towards the toilet, dropping to my knees and vomiting everything i had in me.

I sat back heaving air into my lungs. Tears stained my face as I wiped my mouth with a nearby towel. I sat back and cried. I was shaking and trembling. Sobs wracked my spine.

Get a hold on yourself!

I stood, wiping away the tears. I'm stronger than this. I walked to the sink and started the water, splashing my face with the frigid water.

The bathroom door opened up. I didn't look, but wiped at my eyes more vigorously. There was a cool chuckle to my left where the door was. I let the water continue to drip across my face, biting my lip and listening to my raging heart beat. The smell of Lemongrass itched my nose.

"Well, doesn't the dearest look a little ill." Mr. McCoy's voice sneered.

I sputtered under the water spray and whipped my head up to look at him, stunned.

He smirked, walking closer and dropping his hand on my shoulder. He squeezed it hard, just like he did with my waste last night. A burn of tears laced against my eyes. "Guess I'll have to tell Hendrick's that you can't train today. All well." He turned and left. I watched him walk away quietly before hearing my door slam shut and the lock slide back into place.

Walking straight for bed, I curled up holding my sphere as close to be as possible.

My stomach was spinning again. It was worse than yesterday, or what I thought was yesterday. It might have been earlier today. There were no windows, no clocks, no way of knowing what day or what time it was.

I got up, my boys were coming for me and would be here any minute now. I needed some essentials. The fire was flickering in the corner and I skimmed the book collection of around 250 books in my room. I grabbed some that I thought would be interesting.

Books about Runes, relics, power. Books about magic, and secret cities. Books about species, cultures, and the war. Books about the underworld.

I grabbed twenty books, not enough to notice, but not enough to make a dent.

Searching the room, I couldn't find a single bag.

There were random tapestries on the wall. I grabbed one and pulled it onto the bed, smiling to myself.

If I fold this like this, tie here, cross it there. Done. I created a bag. I placed the books inside and tested it. Works just like a charm.

I looked around the room, and the darkness started to nag at me. I pushed the thought away from my mind and picked an outfit out.

I dressed in another dress, like one from yesterday, this one a dark blue with pink diamond shapes on it. I slipped on some simple black boots that I normally wouldn't wear. I grabbed the clothes i was in when I was abducted and folded them, putting them in the bag too.

Light sparked against my crystal ball. I almost forgot about it! Thankfully I left it when I felt sick. I ran to the bed and grabbed it.

I pulled the tote closer to me and sat on the bed with the orb in my hands.

Shrink.

The small burst of light from it relaxed me, calmed me. The chill started to freeze my blood, and I watched my marks appear on my arms. They didn't glow, they were just there.
