Melting Ice

Desolate and untouched, my inner self be

Frozen solid, for no one would see

The feel that cracking surface would suffice

Never realizing what lay beneath the ice

Worthless, meaningless, so I thought

If what I really am is something no one sought

Time continues to pass and here I still am

Forever one grain in a sea of sand

Just when I had lost all faith

And believed my self will never be known

One arrives, the ice she breaks

And to paradise my soul be flown

There’s no point in living if you don’t feel alive

Now I do, it’s about damn time

Used to be empty, but now satisfied

By she, the one who melts the ice
