Chapter 19

It has been weeks since San Andres happened and eversince that day hindi ko na nakita si Keith, ngayon nalang ulit. Kahit naiinis ako sa kanya, I hate the fact that I missed him.

"Hi Jaquie. You wanna have lunch with me?" I just looked at him and and back to my laptop.

"No." I said sternly.

"May problema ba tayo Karina?" He said seriously and I know that he's looking intently at me but I refused to look back at him dahil ayokong maalala ang mga nangyari. From how wonderful we started to the time he said that we should forget what he said when he introduced me to his mother and grandma at the cemetery.

"I just thought that it's not appropriate for an employee to have a lunch with the boss."

"I'm not your boss. My sister is your boss." I looked at him and regretted it immediately. Ayan nanaman yang mga ngiti niyang ganyan. Diyan ako bumibigay eh.

"Don't you think it's the same?" He just shook his head. I sighed. "No. I will not have lunch with you."

"Okay." Akala ko aalis na siya pero umupo lang siya sa tabi ko at nag pipindot sa phone niya. Nandito kasi ako nakaupo sa sala ng office ko. He then turned to me, "Tell me what you want to eat."

I looked at him. "You just told me that you're not my boss. Hindi mo ako pwedeng utos-utusan lang." Medyo naiinis na ako. Maybe he felt it dahil natahimik siya and I herd him sigh. I want to be near Keith but I don't want to be overwhelmed by his presence. Ayoko ng umasa ulit.

Tumayo ako upang kunin ang papers na nasa office desk ko at para narin makalayo sa kanya pero wala pang isang hakbang ang nagagawa ko ay bigla na niya akong hinila at ikinulong sa braso niya.

"Alright Karina, tell me what's wrong." Inilapit niya ang mukha niya sakin and I think my heart skipped a bit. "Come on beautiful, tell me what's wrong."

Shit nalang ang nasabi ko sa utak ko. I think my heart is coming out of my chest sa sobrang bilis ng tibok nito. He can't hear my heartbeat.. can he?

"P-pwede be Keith, bitawan mo ko." Then he smiled at me. Hindi ko alam kung tama pa ba ang ginagawa niya sakin dahil sa ngiti niya parang mas pinalala niya ang sitwasyon ng puso ko. Wo stopped for a moment and just looked at each other.

While looking at him I realized how happy I am in the short time that I had been with Keith. His mere presence made me alive. I realized how deeply I had fallen for this man.

I can see his face leaning towards me. Nanlaki ang mga mata ko but when I felt his lips on mine hindi na ako nakakibo pa. My mind is now confused because a part me wanted to push him but a part me wants him. He started to move his lips and right then I stopped thinking. Bahala na.

Habang tumatagal ang halik lalo akong nalulunod. I wrapped my arms around his neck. I heard him groaned and I felt him deepen the kiss. Our tongue tangled and I can taste mint on his mouth. Sa mga oras na to I can't think clearly. Bahala na kung anongg mangyari pagkatapos.

A knock on my door made panicked and pushed keith rather hard for him to fall on the floor. I heard him groaned pero this time dahil na outbalance siya bumagsak siya sa sahig. Tinignan ko lang siya at agad kong inayos ang sarili ko.

"Come in." Barney's head appears on the door na para bang dahan dahan na sumisilip. "Yes Barney? What is it?"

"Ay maam may naghahanap po kasi sayo boyfriend mo daw po siya." Napakunot-noo ako. Ang alam ko wala akong boyfriend. "Ay sir okay lang kayo? Bakit kayo nasa sahig?"
