"Shawn!" I heard my neighbor yell.

I looked over and spotted her waving at me.

"Wanna go to the lake and hang out?" she smiled.

I nodded and grabbed my penny board skating over to her. She skated on her long board along with me down to the dock. We set our boards by some tree and walked down on the dock sitting in the lake. It swayed back and forth as the water hit the side of it.

"Look at the moon" she said pointing at it leaning into my shoulder.

I chuckled and nodded. She shivered rubbing her arms.

"Cold?" I asked.

"Yeah, but I'm okay" she smiled.

I took off my flannel wrapping it around her shoulders. She smiled and nudged me.

"Thanks Mendes" she blushed.

"You look good in my flannels" I teased trying to wink at her.

She giggled and covered her face. She mimicked me by winking back harder.

"Don't make fun of me!" I said pushing her a little.

"I wasn't!" She replied.

I smiled and looked up at the sky.

"Your flannel is soft" she smiled.

I shrugged of the chills that came over my shoulders and pushed back my hair feeling the heat between us. She was so beautiful the way her hair swooped behind her shoulders. Her eyes twinkled under the moonlight. I've had a crush on her for a while and I think it's time to tell her. I rested my hands behind her back and smiled.

"Did you know the flannels keep the heart warm?" she replied trying to make conversation.

"My hearts already warm when I'm with you" I said smirking.

Her glossy eyes looked up at me and I slowly leaned in for a kiss. I felt the dock shake underneath us and we both fell into the water. she came up for air and chuckled splashing me a little. It was freezing but it was funny watching us squirm. I pulled her in as the flannel fell down her shoulder soaking wet. I planted a passionate kiss on her lips feeling, not so cold anymore.
