Hometown Crush

I walked up the steps of my old best friend y/n. I haven't seen her in two years and I hope she hasn't forgotten about me. I looked around the neighborhood of Pickering. I missed home. I missed my best friend. I knocked on the door waiting patiently. I pushed back my hair feeling the heat rise to my cheeks. The door swung open and there stood y/n. She looked absolutely amazing. I've had a crush on her for my whole life and on this moment, she's never looked better.

"Shawn, hi how are you?!" She chuckled embracing me in a hug.

I chuckled hugging her back tighter.

"I've Been okay. I miss you" I smiled.

She let me in and we sat on the couch. I grabbed her hands and smiled cheekily.

"How's the famous life?" She chuckled.

I shrugged and chuckled back.

"Oh my god you look great! Have you been working out?!" She said poking my toned muscle.

"Yeah a little"

"A little!? No way!"

I chuckled and shook my head. She looked up at me with those beautiful eyes.

"Y/n I need to tell you something and it's very important because I need to tell you before I go back on the road or it'll kill me" i sighed.

She nodded and waited patiently.

"I am in love you y/f/n. I've loved you ever since I saw you swinging on the swing set" I chuckled nervously.

She looked at me surprised and suddenly, I felt a pair of lips on mine. It was magical, like she knew I was gonna say something else. She held my cheeks and chuckled.

"I'm sorry I've just been waiting for you to say that for a long time" she said.

"Really?" I asked.

She nodded and blushed.

"I love you too Shawn" she replied.

"Then I have one more question for you before I go back on tour" I said scratching the top of my hand.

The tension was building up between us. The heat flowed through me because I was dying of nervousness. I would never have the confidence to tell her that, ever. All this music biz and exhilarating fans have really showed me what it's like to have confidence. Except for right now. This moment has to be perfect. All my love for her has been kept inside and I finally get to let it out so I had to ask her. I sighed and closed my eyes. She lifted my chin making eye contact with me and smiled.

"You can tell me anything Shawn" she smiled.

I smiled back and cleared my throat.

"Go on tour with me..."
