My heart felt empty, but it never stopped beating. I sat on my window sill watching the rain beat down on it. I held my knees to my chest laying against the wall. I felt all the pain build inside me. I've never felt this way about a girl but she meant the world to me. Nothing could change my mind about her. I was so depressed at this point in my life. My girlfriend and I just broke up because she thought we were getting departed. We didn't feel close anymore. I decided to play a little piano to wash off the feeling of weight. I sat down at my piano wearing my grey sweaters and black shirt.

"But now we're slipping at the edge
Holding something we don't need
All this delusion in our heads
Is gonna bring us to our knees

So come on let it go" I sang so passionately.

My fingers gliding across the piano. All my emotions going into one chorus. Nothing felt better than singing.

"Shawn?" I heard y/n's sweet voice.

I jumped and cleared my voice. I wiped my hands on pants and cleared my voice.

"That was beautiful" she sniffled.

She looked like she was crying more than I was. The way she looked made my heart break. She looked out the window and sighed.

"Shawn I made a mistake" she said sitting on the bed.

"T-That song was dedicated to you" I sighed.

"really?" She asked with watery eyes.

I nodded and sat by her on the bed.

"I made a mistake" she repeated.

I looked at my floor and played with my hands.

"every word i ever said is latched on to and feeding into overwhelming regret" she sniffled again.

I looked up at her with my mouth slightly dropped.

"oh y/n, I love you more than anything in the world" I said embracing me into a hug.

"Please stay with me forever and never let me go" she sobbed into my shoulder.

"I will never..."
