Broken Guitar

"Fuck you Shawn all you do is write music you never pay attention to me anymore!" I heard my best friends' girlfriend yell at him.

I shivered hiding behind the wall listening in on the conversation. I felt so bad for Shawn. His girlfriend was a drunk, a loser, a fucking waste. He just loved her so much to let her go but I think now is the time he's gonna do it.

"Teeana I'm sorry please-"

"NO!" she yelled.

She smashed the guitar to the floor shattering it everywhere. I gasped and covered my mouth quickly. He looked at her with hurt eyes. They began to fill with tears and she dropped the neck sobbing a little.

"Shawn I-"

"Get out" he said through clenched teeth.

"Shawn please" she tried to approach him.

"Get the fuck out of my face! We're done!" he shouted so loudly it made my ears ring.

I felt so horrible for him. That was his baby. It was his first guitar too. He only used it to practice but still, he loved that thing more than here to be honest. She slammed the door behind her and he fell to the ground picking up the pieces. 

"Shawn?" I said quietly.

"Oh y/n. I forgot you were here. I'm sorry..." he sniffled.

"Shawn I'm so sorry about your guitar" I said bending down to help him.

He shook his head.

"It's not your fault y/n" he chuckled wiping away the tears.

He hugged me sobbing into my shoulder. I didn't blame him for crying. He just got broken up and his most precious thing breaks. I hug him hard as we sit on the floor together.

"I'm gonna give you some space but I'll see you later" I smiled kissing his cheek.

He wiped his nose and sighed.

I looked at the floor holding the wrapped present behind me. I sighed, knocked on the door, and rocked on my heels. Shawn opened the door with a small smile on his face. He hugged me as I stuck the guitar to the side of me so he wouldn't see it.

"I have something for you" I smiled.

He cocked his eyebrow. I held the guitar out to him and smiled a little. 

"OH MY GOD Y/N THIS IS THE GREATEST GIFT EVER THANK YOU SO MUCH!" He shouted excitedly hugging me again.

I chuckled and rolled my eyes.

"You're welcome" I smiled.

"AGH I LOVE YOU SO FUCKING MUCH RIGHT NOW I COULD JUST KISS YOU-" he yelled.

I looked at him confused. His eyes widen as his lips press on mine unexpectedly. But I didn't mind, it was a perfect to start something new.
