You opened the door without knocking. "Lahey! Could you have be any more rude?!" You whisper-yelled at the curly haired boy pacing back and forth in front of his bed.

"What the hell is he doing here, Y/N?!" He spat back as his eyebrows furrowed forward.

"I don't know."

"Liar." He gritted between his clenched teeth.

Anger built up as your chest tightens and your hands formed into small fists. "Listen to my heart, jackass." You were heated and you didn't care if you were calling Isaac names. "I don't know why Liam is here." You said once more.

Your heart was steady with each word and did not increase a single beat as you spoke. Isaac's face softens up a bit but with his eyebrows still furrowed you can tell he was still upset. You couldn't blame him but he had no right to lash out on Liam because technically Liam did nothing wrong.

"Look, I know Liam coming here is bad timing. We're supposed to talk about us," you whispered, hoping Liam wouldn't hear through the water releasing from your showerhead. "But, you have to understand why we have to put that on hold."

"Why? So you can figure out your feelings? Figure out which guy you love more? So you can kiss him instead without feeling any guilt because you're not tied down to me?"

"That's not fair, Isaac." You felt your throat tighten up because you knew you were on the verge of crying. You needed to sort out your feelings and testing your feelings with Liam for Isaac or Isaac for Liam wasn't fair to either of them. You were not going to that to them.

"Just," he let out a frustrated and hurt sigh as he ran his hand through his curls. "Just... please get out."

You shook your head as you walked up to him. Isaac took a step back when you tried to give him a hug. Instead, you folded your arms around yourself to keep yourself from reaching for him again. "Please, don't be angry at me for something that's not my fault, Isaac. I don't know why he's here but I have to find out. I'm not going to shove his ass out the door and put him on the next flight to Beacon Hills."

Isaac turned his back to you making you exhale a deep sigh before speaking once again. "I went to Beacon Hills to give him answers, the answers he needed. Now, it's my turn. He's here for a reason and I deserve to know why."

"I want to be there when he tells you why he's here."

"No."

Isaac immediately turned around to face you. "Why the hell not?!"

"Because what is said between me and Liam is his and mine's business. Not yours."

"Like hell it is! If he's here back for you, it sure as hell is my business, because I need to know what that means for us! Something we were supposed to talk about before he showed up and ruined everything!" Isaac ranted as his hands turned into tight fists.

"Isaac..."

"No, I'm going to be there for that conversation."

"Like hell you are!" You argued back. "With you or Jackson around, Liam may never want to tell me what's going on because the two of you will be hounding and being such assholes to him!"

"Can you blame us?! He broke your heart! We don't like the bastard!"

"That's enough!" You yelled. You were ready to punch something. "Tomorrow you and Jackson are going to school. Don't you dare come up with some fucking excuse to stay behind and eavesdrop or spy on Liam and me talking. I can take care of myself."

"Three months ago you couldn't take care of yourself!" You heard the pain his voice.

Was he right? You thought to yourself.

The last three months replayed in your mind like a movie. Isaac and Jackson taking you out to forget about Liam and distract you for a few minutes for that day, hoping they made you forget all about it longer than you did the day before. Sitting between the boys on the couch or bed while watching something on Netflix and eating countless bowls of Rocky Road ice cream together. Jackson helping you with your makeover and Isaac being there for you when you needed someone to talk to. Had you gone somewhere else, a place without Jackson and Isaac, would you have been able to take care of yourself? Would you have been able to get back on your feet on your own?

Yes, you answered your first question. He was right.

Isaac took a step toward you, making you snap out of your revere and shake your head as you took a step back in response. The rim of your eyes started to fill out with warm tears ready to make their escape.

"Y/N..." Isaac trailed. "I didn't-"

You turned around and walked toward the door. Before you could turn the knob and make your way out, Isaac grabbed your elbow to turn you around to face him. It took you a second to look up from the floor to his eyes.

"I'm sorry," Isaac apologized.

You looked into Isaac's eyes and your heart sank. The eyes display the true emotion of one's feelings. Sadness was clouded in his broken blue eyes but there wasn't a single tear in his eyes. However, just because the eyes didn't tear up, doesn't mean his heart isn't crying. Just because he looks emotionless, doesn't mean his heart isn't aching. Just because he isn't uttering a word, doesn't mean he's shouting on the inside. Because as you looked deep in his sad blue eyes you saw all it, the feelings he had for you yet, the pain Liam's arrival caused because deep down he knew he would lose with Liam back in the game.

"I didn't mean it." He whispered. But, you heard his heartbeat increase with the lie he was spewing.

You wanted to say you accepted his apology (because you did) and hug it out, but you couldn't because his true words had hurt. You tried to redirect your anger toward him, but it was impossible, his words had unlocked the anger that you felt toward yourself.

"Y/N...?" Isaac's broken whisper made you turn around. You gave him your back as you put your hand on doorknob.

"We'll talk later." You said avoiding the painful subject. You walked out and headed straight to the guest bathroom as you heard something shatter the second it collided with the bedroom wall. You were too upset to go back and check on Isaac. Instead you simply ignored, took a shower, and let the tears blend with the hot water.
