Vegetarian

It was dimmed and I could barely see anybody's face. I wanted to hang out with Ian but I lost him in the crowd. These faces weren't familiar. I haven't been to a school party since last year so this was awkward. I wanted to find someone I knew. I looked over into the corner and found some gross couple making out. I scoffed and tripped into the kitchen. I found the shot glasses filled with different alcohol. I grabbed one and chugged it. It ran down my throat burning every inch of it. I shook my head and chugged another one.

"Shawn Mendes" I heard someone say.

I turned around and saw Lauren Arendse. 

"Oh hey Laur" I smiled hugging her.

"How are you?" she chuckled.

"I'm good and you?"

"Good, good" she replied.

"Do you know where Ian is? I can't find him anywhere?" I sighed.

"Uh last time I saw him he was playing beer pong out in the garage with Matt" she pointed in the direction.

"Okay thanks Laur" I smiled and nodded.

I pushed past the group of dancing teenagers as the alcohol and weed filled my lungs. I stopped myself when I saw y/n dancing in the center. She looked so good. Her black tight dress fitting her well. 

"Y/n hey" I smiled grabbing her arm.

"Shawn! Hey! How's tour superstar?" she chuckled hugging me.

I chuckled and smiled.

"It's great! You look fantastic" I replied.

"Thank you" she blushed.

"You wanna dance?" I smirked.

"Over my dead body" I heard a lower voice from behind me.

"Hayden" I scoffed.

When I was younger he use to beat me up. Now I'm bigger then him. I smirked down and winked.

"Hayden stop, we broke up" y/n butted in.

I looked at her and smiled kindly. 

"I don't give a fuck, this shithead thinks he can snatch you up and he's wrong" he shouted.

I chuckled and popped my knuckles. Heat rising to my face as my jaw clenched.

"Shawn..." she said holding onto my leather jacket.

"What are you gonna go with this piece of meat?" I chuckled.

She looked at him and then back at me.

"Well..." Hayden sighed.

She smirked at me and grabbed my hand.

"Sorry Hayden, I'm a vegetarian tonight"
