Epilogue

You can do this Rose, just ask him, you have your whole speech figured out, you can do this. I try to convince myself but my hearts still racing as I stand outside Marcus's office.

"Rose I know you're out there" he says I curse quietly and walk around the corner, I step in his spacious office looking over at him as he stares down at papers

"Marcus" I say quietly as I sit in one of the chairs across his desk, he rummages through paperwork not looking up at me,his dark eyebrows stays creased as he looks between two pieces and I can't help but smile a little, his blue eyes move between and then to a completely different one, he ruffles his dark hair and sighs...I plan to tap this next conversation, ease him into it but all at once the words leave my mouth "I want you to change me" I say quickly... wasn't planning on leading with that but it just slipped...no going back now

It got his attention though

His eyes shoot up at me, his movements stopping completely "Absolutely not" he says shaking his head, looking completely baffled

I groan standing from the comfortable seat "Why Marcus?! How could you say that after everything happened with Caine and my father? something like that could happen again" I tell him now leaning over his desk letting my hair fall in front of me

"No Rose it won't, I'll never let anything like that happen again and it's exactly why I won't change you, seeing you...like you were it just showed me that I have to value your life as much as possible and not waist a day of your humanity" he tells me in one breath, looking back down at his papers I lean back and sit back down in the chair

We stay quiet for a while, that was not how I was planning this argument to go  that way"You can't protect me from everything Marcus....that much we know" I say quietly

"I'll die trying" he whispers

I sigh and stand up, "I'll be with Harry" I tell him

He tenses but nods without looking up, I leave his office and up the stairs to where Harry is staying.

I sigh as I take step after step, things have been different lately. Once I got out of the hospital and back home that was when Marcus realised he had to start running the country. He quit his job at the school and focused on fixing Caine's corrupted side. I graduated though! Even through all the missing school because I was kidnapped and the other drama I still managed to graduate with A's and B's. Graduation was already two months ago, I've applied to colleges as close to home as I could. A week after graduation Luke was made alpha of the Black Moon pack, me, Marcus, Jade, Caden, and Nate all felt a little out of place at the ceremony and we got some strange looks but we had to be there for them.

Amber tells me she's been enjoying being Luna and has fit right in with the rest of the pack. But me and Jade are in the same boat, she's stressed out about college and getting accepted, even though I know she will be. Her eyes might be a problem though, she refuses to wear contacts saying that it is way to much of an honour and accomplishment to cover up so hopefully everyone thinks her natural purple eyes are fake. Jade has been studying off of Lucia for a while, along with her Mom and gran trying to soak up as many spells and powers as possible.

Evangeline's been around, she's mostly been staying with Lucia as well, they've become close since everything's happened, she comes around to visit when we all get together and surprisingly enough I kind of like her. I still don't like the fact she kissed my mate but...I guess it was necessary.
