Dear Diary,
It has been seventeen days since I had been conscious. I guess Susan took over my mind and body, so I blacked out. This morning, I found myself face down in a burning building. There was rubble and smoke and screams everywhere. I got up and looked around. I was surrounded by smoke and rubble and everything looked like hell on earth. Bodies were scattered on the barren ground. I saw a boy a little smaller than me crying next to his dead mother. I looked at my dress and it was covered in blood and it was burned in spots. In the distance, I spied the church. It was still in one piece, so I walked over to it and stepped inside. On the altar was a big brown box, and the priest standing next to it; he was crying. I asked him if he was alright, but he just screamed and told me I was a devil child. Then, he picked up a silver sword from under the alter and dipped the blade in a glass of holy water behind him. Then, with one final movement, he stabbed the big brown box. Suddenly, I heard Susan's voice. She told me that she was free and that I was free, too. Then, she told me that she loved me and she was gone.Love,
Lucy Belle
