Chapter 38

I arrive at school and I have eleven minutes until the bell rings for fifth. I rush to the place me Jade, Amber, and Luke sit. It's just a picnic table, not many students come out here so we like it, and not surprisingly they're there chatting and Amber is in Luke's arms. Ok time to find out what other supernatural crazy friend I have.

I march up to them and I'm actually a little nervous to find out what Amber is, I actually fell weird being human... go figure.

"Am-" I begin but I'm engulfed in a hug

"Oh my god Rose! I'm so sorry I didn't come over, I feel like such a horrible friend! I was worried sick! Are you ok? I'm sorry I should have been there for you, you would-" Amber rambles

"Amber! Amber! Calm down I was fine Marcus kept me company, I get it you were busy" I say

She groans "god I'm horrible, I thought you might want your space after what happened and then I knew Marcus told you that he was a vampire so I wanted you to deal with that and I didn't know if me coming over was a good idea. But I know I should have" she says looking ashamed

"Yes I have had a very nerve wracking four days" I sigh thinking about how so much can happen in such a short period of time "and I'm sure it's about to get even more crazy"

She looks at me questionably "so did you know Jade was a witch?" I ask

"I did, I'm kind of familiar with supernatural creatures" she says nervously biting her lip and looking up at me with her big brown eyes

"Ok put it on me, what are you?" I say preparing myself for something crazy

She tilts her head and she smiles a little "don't worry I'm with you, poor little human" she smiles wider

"What? Jade said you had a mate! and...and you just said you knew about supernatural creatures?!" I say...what's going on?

Luke comes up behind Amber closing his strong arms around her small body "she sure as hell has a mate and he's pretty sexy too" he smirks and Amber blushes as he kisses her cheek

"Wait what?!" I almost scream, what the hell is he?!

Luke chuckles deeply "I'm a werewolf Rose" he smiles

My knees feel weak and I slump down at the table sitting down, unable to stand anymore. This is way to much "ok wait" I say looking up at Luke and Amber standing nervously "so Amber you are not a werewolf?" I ask kind of confused

"Correct, I am human" she nods brushing a blonde strand behind her ear

"So how do you know about werewolves, vampires, and witches?!"

She shyly smiles "well my cousins are all werewolves, I guess I didn't inherit the gene, but you know how I live with my whole family plus a whole bunch of other people?" She asks and I nod "well that's called a pack, it's just a group of werewolves that live together and run together. They have an alpha who's in charge of everything and he has a beta as his second in command"

"Yup the alpha is the leader of the pack, they must obey him" Luke chimes in "my father's an alpha I would know" he scoffs

"So wait you'll be alpha next?" I ask trying to sort everything out and he nods

"Yes after graduation my father will step down and I'll be alpha" he says
