Marcus's POV
"What!" I bark into the phone not wanting to even think about Caine right now, I've been worrying about him all week and I just wanted a night for me and Rose without having him weasel his way into my brain.

"Hello brother" his grim voice gives me shivers

"What do you want" I growl

"Well I think I've left you alone long enough, I was thinking you were almost going to forget me" he says fake hurt in his voice

"If only I could" I tell him

"Come on you're not still mad about the whole family thing?" He says

"How dare you! You killed our family you little fucker you killed the love of my life at the time, you-"

"Details details" he says like its no big deal

"I swear-!"

"Ok stop, shut up your voice is irritating me, now on to important matters I'm getting the feeling you and your precious little Rose are now together?" He says and I don't answer afraid of what I'll yell in Roses house

"Marcus what is it?" She asks her face full of worry and concern, I hold my finger up telling her to wait

"Was that her? Awe how sweet, what? a little date night for the happy couple?" He asks

"We won't play your games anymore Caine. I'm with Rose and there's nothing you can do about it, she's mine, she's my soul mate I won't let you get in the way" I state trying to stay calm even though my patients with him is wearing thin

"Yes well we will see about that" he chuckles lightly

"How do you know all of these things hu? I know it's not one of your abilities, how are you getting your information?" I demand

"Let's just say I have a close friend, well more like business partner but all in the same, they're very helpful to me" he says and I can imagine the sly smirk on his face

"Who is it? Are they on my land" I ask not believing anyone could cross the border without me or Lucia finding out

"Oh brother you foolish man, I'm not going to tell you, granted my business partner might not be telling me everything but I work it out of them. I also hear Rose knows about us and our little story, I bet she likes me" he laughs evilly

"Shut up Caine before I come and kill you myself" I spit

"Oh but it's fun messing with you, that's what big brothers are for, now you do realize what I must do correct?"

"What?" I ask, my irritation rising

"Well I have to kill your little friend of course, you broke the rule this is your own fault" he states like a mother talking to a bad child

"You'll never touch her!" I yell and look over at my sweet Rose, she looks petrified

"I have things up my sleeve you would never think about!" his anger evident in his tone "just be ready" before I can reply the line goes dead

I take the phone away from my ear and begin to crush it, when a small soft hand rests on mine. I look up and Rose is holding my hands, keeping them from crushing the phone in them. Her eyebrows are pulled together and her lips parted and pouted in wonder.
