"So he hasn't woken up ever since then?"
"Nope. As soon as I calmed him down, he fell unconscious."
"I see." Bruce nodded, doing more scans on Loki.
"Kid, are you sure you're okay?" Tony asked his daughter concerned. "You were just with a villain."
"He didn't look like one." Rosabelle shrugged. "He looked badly injured and close to dying."
The door bursted open, revealing the mighty Thor. "I heard my brother Loki is here." Thor boomed out. Thor spotted the group and quickly ran to them. He pushed himself to the front, and looked at Loki shocked. "Brother," he whispered, "you're alive."
"He hasn't woken up yet." Bruce spoke up. "He only woke up once, and that was when Rosabelle found him injured."
"Rosabelle?" Thor asked confused. Said person raised her hand up meekly.
"That's me." she said shyly.
"Lady Rosabelle!" Thor boomed. "You must be Stark's daughter."
"That's me." she chuckled. Tony cleared his throat, wrapping an arm around Rosabelle's shoulders while doing so.
"So, you're here to pick him up?" Tony asked him. Thor shook his head sadly in reply.
"No. He's too weak and injured to come." Thor studied Loki's figure. "What are his injuries?"
"Broken hands, a few broken and bruised ribs, a concussion, sprained ankle, and his mouth is sewn shut -"
"What?" Thor snapped his head up, interrupting Bruce. "Sewn lips?" Thor looked at Loki's mouth as if just noticing his them. "Oh no. . ."
"What?" Rosabelle demanded. "What's wrong?"
"I know who gave these wounds to Loki." Thor said gravely. "Thanos."
"Sorry - who?" Steve frowned.
"Thanos, a Titan." Thor explained. "One of our worst enemies." Thor studied Loki's mouth. "From what I heard, Thanos sews the victims' mouth as punishment, or if they had spoken rudely to him."
"Obviously Loki did that." Clint sighed.
"Though how did Loki escape?" Thor murmured. "Thanos has high security. And we haven't heard from Thanos in centuries."
"Loki is the God of Mischief and Lies after all." Rosabelle shrugged.
"I need to go." Thor mumbled, heading for the exit.
"Wait!" Natasha called to him. "What do we do with your brother?"
"Look after him!" Thor called back before disappearing around the corner. Rosabelle turned to Loki when she heard him whimper in pain. He had his eyes closed, eyebrows furrowed, as if having a nightmare.
"Shh," Rosabelle murmured, placing a hand on Loki's cheek, "it's okay. You're safe now."
Loki continued whimpering for a while, until his face relaxed, still asleep. Rosabelle looked up to see the Avengers staring at her. "What?"
"Rosabelle, I want you to stay away from him." Tony said calmly. Rosabelle's eyes widened at what he said.
"What! Why?" she protested.
"He's dangerous. You don't wanna be near him." Natasha told her.
"He didn't hurt me." Rosabelle argued.
"Because he needed help." Clint said. "Who knows what he could do when he's healed."
"He could be more crazy." Steve added.
"No he won't -"
"And how do you know, Rosabelle? Huh?" Tony asked his daughter sternly. Rosabelle opened her mouth to answer, only to realise she didn't have one.
"I just. . .have a feeling, Dad."
"Having a hunch isn't good enough, sweetie." Tony shook his head. "From now on, you are not to be near Loki. He is to heal, and then leave with his brother."
Rosabelle huffed at the overprotective adults and stomped away.

A couple of days later. . .
Rosabelle played random notes on the piano in the music room they had, when the door suddenly opened with a slam. "Dad!" she scolded. "Be quiet next time will you -"
"No time, Rose, quickly follow me." Tony said, grabbing her arm and tugging her out of the room.
"What! Why?" she protested.
"It's Loki." Tony simply said. Rosabelle co-operated after that, meeting his pace.
"What's wrong with him?" she asked concerned.
"He won't calm down."
"So?"
"Well, ever since I forced you not to go and see him, he's been having nightmares and some of his magic would come out, chucking equipment across the room randomly."
"That's why there was noises coming from the medics area, and why you all looked tired." Rosabelle realised.
"We thought we had it all under control by simply sedating him." Tony admitted. "But from what I am guessing, it wares off quickly for Gods."
"So why am I involved in this?"
"We want you to calm him down."
"What?" Rosabelle stopped in her tracks, much to Tony's dismay. "What makes you think I can calm him down?"
"It worked before!" Tony said, pulling her along again.
"It could be just a coincidence."
"Really? I doubt that." They finally reached the floor, only to dodge quickly when a chair was suddenly thrown at them. They looked at the room and saw lots of object being thrown around the room, creating a tornado. "What the f-"
"Stark!" Steve yelled, interrupting Tony. "Loki is going nuts! Did you bring Rosabelle?"
"I'm here!" Rosabelle called out to them, peeking out from behind Tony. She turned to her father. "What do I do?"
"Just go to him and give him a hug or something!" Tony yelled through the chaos, moving her safely towards the unconscious God. The rest of the Avengers were hiding behind bigger objects, avoiding the items being thrown around. "Hurry kiddo, or else SHIELD won't be happy!"
Rosabelle quickly went to Loki's side and looked down at him. She frowned at him concerned, watching how his face was twisted in fear and pain, making her feel sorry for the man. "Hey. . ." she cooed, putting a hand on his shoulder. "It's okay, you're safe now." Loki didn't react to her words, only the chaos getting louder. Despite the loudness, Rosabelle could hear backup coming towards them, ready to take Loki away.
"Loki, listen to me." she demanded, placing her hands on his cheeks gently. "You are safe. No one is going to hurt you. As long as I am here, no one is going to touch you." Loki started calming down, but only slightly. Rosabelle didn't know what to do, so she just started to sing quietly to him.

"Heart beats fast,
Colours and promises.
How to be brave.
How can I love when I'm afraid to fall.
But watching you stand alone.
All of my doubt.
Suddenly goes away somehow.
One step closer. . ."

Rosabelle watched as Loki visibly relaxed, the items dropping onto the floor not-so gracefully. "It's working." Natasha whispered to the others, watching as Rosabelle sang to Loki.

"I have died, everyday,
Waiting for you.
Darling don't be afraid,
I have loved you for a thousand years.
I love you for a thousand more. . ."

"Whoa guys!" Tony exclaimed, pushing the armed SHIELD agents away. "No need to be here, false alarm!"
While Tony and the others went to shoo the agents away, Rosabelle slowly started to trail off singing, watching as Loki fully relaxed, still unconscious. "It's okay." she whispered to him. Without anyone looking, Rosabelle quickly planted a gentle kiss on Loki's forehead, caressing it softly. "I'll be here for you." she whispered.
"Well done, kiddo!" Tony said, wrapping his arms around her in a hug, making her pull away from Loki. "You did a better job at calming him down than we did."
"How did you guys try to do it?" Rosabelle asked curiously.
"Like I said, we'd sedate him -" Tony started.
"We told him that we wouldn't harm him until he gets well." Clint answered bluntly, making her roll her eyes at them.
"That would totally calm people down." Rosabelle replied sarcastically with a small grin on her face.
