Chapter Seventeen // {daryl's pov}

"Glenn, where's Rick?" I questioned him. He looked confused.

"Well, he was here earlier, he went towards cell block A and B. He didn't look good," he replied looking slightly worried. I sighed. Rick's run off again.

"Jordan needs 'im 'nd he's runnin' off ta only god knows where," I said with a huff.

Glenn nodded, "try Hershel, he may know, Rick runs things by him usually." I nodded a thanks and walked out of cell block C.

The hallways leading to other parts of the prison were pretty much cleared. Sometimes, we'd find the odd walker but that wasn't very often. The hallways were pretty dim too, so we have to always bring a flashlight.

I turned my flashlight on and made my way to cell block B.

I found myself standing underneath the sign telling me what cell block I'm in.

'Cell Block B'

I walked in, spotting Hershel right away. He was sitting on a stool outside Jordan's cell, reading a book about some health shit. I have no clue why someone would wanna read that.

"Hey, old man, seen Rick?" I called out to him. Hershel's eyes skimmed over one last sentence before glancing up at me, concern written all over his face.

"No?" he said as if he was questioning himself.

"Nobody has seen 'im. I wouldn't be surprised if he went on a ru-,"

"Rick!" a loud scream erupted from Jordan's cell, interrupting Hershel.

Hershel was off his chair, walking straight into the cell before I could process anything. I walked in carefully, not wanting to see why Jordan was screaming.

Jordan sat upright in her bed in hysterics. She kept asking Hershel for Rick. More like pleading. She was out right panicking. Her green eyes were glassy and didn't have any light to them.

I stood in the doorway, unsure of what to do.

Do I comfort her?

Do I leave Hershel to do it all?

Do I find Rick?

Or I could just leave.

Hershel was crouching next to her bed trying to get her to calm down, but she would snap at him and yell for Rick. She hadn't noticed that I was here, watching in terror.

"Jordan." Her green eyes snapped to my figure, making me feel uncomfortable.
