Chapter 59

I feel Leo's hands ripped off of my shoulders, revealing Marcus's black eyes staring at me. Caden comes up with a bloody nose and holds Leo, pushing him down on his knees and holding his arms behind his back, Caden pulls his hair to look up at Marcus.

Marcus stares at me anger rolling off of him, my eyes widen in shock at the intensity of his eyes "Rose look away now!" he demands and I do as he says taking one last look at Leo.

I turn around, not wanting to see, knowing exactly what he's about to do. I hear Leo scream out, I cover my ears and out of the corner of the eye I see Jade run down the steps, Harry close behind. I run over to Jade and bury my head in her shoulder. She rubs my back and places a hand on my head, cooing in my ear.

"Need my help?" She ask as I feel a flame near my ear, I turn to see her hand holding a ball of fire

"No Jade stay back" I hear Caden demand but I refuse to look

The flame dies out and she looks angry, probably knowing Leo's the one who gave Caden the bloody nose. I hear a piercing sound and then it's silenced all together. Harry looks away and I watch him, waiting for him to look back so I know when I should. I hug my body feeling the chill of the defying silence.

I feel Marcus come behind me and hug my body "come on let's get you inside" Marcus says

"Ok" I nod as he leads me inside, Caden, Jade, and Harry following behind us

I look back just as we step inside, even though Harry blocks my view I look around him and see a pile of ash spreading with the wind. I look back froward, glad it's not a dead body.

We all walk into the living room and everyone takes a seat, besides Harry who leans against the door frame. Marcus pulls me to him and hugs my body but then tenses pulling back and looking over every inch of me. I've never noticed before but whenever he checks me for injuries, using his ability, his eyes always get a shade lighter, turning to a clear crystal blue rather a deep bright blue.

"You're not hurt" he sighs closing his eyes and putting head in his hands "if he would have hurt you-" he growls

"You would have killed him?" I joke lightly

"Yes and I'm sure I'll be hearing from Caine soon" his hands ball into fists and his anger reaches me. I hold out my hand resting it in his arm, even though it's covered in dirt and blood I ignore it

"I'm going to have to tell Nate that the training paid off" Caden jokes while Jade sits on his lap

She scoffs and continues to dab the wet warm washcloth under his nose collecting the dried blood.

"Yeah I guess it did" I say falling back in the couch, my mind reviewing Leo's last words to me 'he misses you'

Who misses me? That doesn't make any sense, who is he talking about? Caine? But Caine's never met me. Maybe Caden and Marcus hit him a little to hard upside the head. My thoughts are silence as Harry begins to speak

"Did you get any more information out of him?" He asks

Caden sits up, keeping Jade against his chest "Only a little, the female is old maybe around the age of Marcus but she could be younger. Leo said the male is young, younger than him which doesn't make a lot of since considering he's the strongest but it can happen. I'm sure he has abilities Leo just wouldn't tell us what they were" Caden explains "but obviously we know the female can see our lives and that's how's she's been telling Caine" he says
